Former Vice President and 2020 Democratic presidential hopeful Joe Biden on Tuesday said comments made by President Trump while in Japan siding with North Korean despot Kim Jong Un are “beneath the dignity of the office.”
“To be on foreign soil, on Memorial Day, and to side repeatedly with a murderous dictator against a fellow American and former vice president speaks for itself,” Biden’s campaign said in a statement.
“And it’s part of a pattern of embracing autocrats at the expense of our institutions — whether taking Putin’s word at face value in Helsinki or exchanging ‘love letters’ with Kim Jong Un,” said the statement from deputy campaign manager Kate Bedingfeld.

Ian Bremmer, the president of the Eurasia Group, tweeted a quote he attributed to Trump on Sunday afternoon.
“President Trump in Tokyo: ‘Kim Jong Un is smarter and would make a better President than Sleepy Joe Biden,’ “ Bremmer tweeted.
Bremmer apologized Monday as media coverage grew, saying he had made the quote in jest.
“My tweet yesterday about Trump preferring Kim Jong Un to Biden as President was meant in jest,” he wrote. “I should have been clearer. My apologies.”
So Obama can side with the Castro dictators or the Iran dictator, ACTUALLY side with them, and Trump just agrees Kim made a correct statement and they attack. Sad.
