A former aide to Sen. Maggie Hassan and Rep. Sheila Jackson Lee is headed to prison Wednesday for what prosecutors said was the largest known data theft in Senate history.
The former aide, Jackson Cosko, pleaded guilty in April to crimes related to an unparalleled effort to ransack a Senate office, extorting a Democratic senator, illegally harming Republicans for their political views, and blackmailing a witness.
Prosecutors asked for nearly five years in prison for Cosko, a onetime congressional IT aide to Hassan. Cosko admitted he stole the New Hampshire Democrat’s data out of revenge for being fired, then used it to doxx Republicans during the Brett Kavanaugh hearings.
“The government believes that a significant sentence would help to make clear that difference of political opinion do not entitle people to engage in politically motivated, criminal attacks threatening elected officials with whom he disagrees, and would thereby encourage respect for the law, and deter future criminal conduct,” prosecutors wrote.
New details emerged in their sentencing memo that made the case of Cosko — the Bernie Sanders-supporting son of a millionaire San Francisco developer with ties to California Sen. Dianne Feinstein and House Speaker Nancy Pelosi — even more shocking.

So we have a person who used his access to intelligence and other private information to harm those who opposed his political views and he is going to jail. How can they then justify letting Obama, Clapper, Brennan, Comey, Page, etc. to walk around free? Even democrats will see this as a double standard.
It might be life if pretty boy opens his mouth to one of the brothers.

Yes, I noticed Hannity really overplayed the use of it last night in his interview with the President. There’s something about him recently that I’m just beginning to notice - maybe it’s been there all along but it’s really becoming quite disturbing at least to me.
I’ve grown used to his constant interruptions - doesn’t matter who the guest is but this constant need for attention BACK to him is pretty glaring and very unattractive. The cute little ploy of always asking “did I get it right”, “am I over the target”, isn’t attractive in a grown man. Talk about fishing for compliments!!
He was so condescending to the black guy on staff on Tuesday night - I don’t remember his name. He’s very pleasant and the one who is generally out mingling in a crowd. Sean went on and on about how “you are my friend”. I found it very nauseating and have to believe that the person felt very uncomfortable.
I will grant that Hannity probably has a better grasp on what happened in DC during and since the 2016 election than anyone else - in or out of government but it doesn’t mean we don’t get tired of the same old rehash over and over and speaking for myself, I do.
And who gave this low level person access to these computer systems? I suspect he wasn’t acting alone.
TY for the INFO. What idiot would hire a Pakistani type or any non American citizen? I would not hire a Pakistani for any security work. “Let them have their convenience stores but NO MORE.” To handle those PC’s for security should be Gov. contract work. How in the heck did a non American Corp. with no TS or TS sci security clearance get it? Our damn Congress thinks they are totally above the laws. They are liars, thieves, and a total disgrace. What have the done lately or since Trump was sworn in. They have done zip except the tax rates. Two years of do NOTHING PUNKS.
