I still am astonished that only a few ever analyse China as a hostile nation. I guess so much is invested that everyone, from Democrats to Republicans, have too much to lose. But they are quick to condemn Russia, a nation 1/10th size of China, that really is not screwing the US over economically.

I say this as a Canadian, who liberal party is the and always has been the hand maiden of the ChiComs. But it seems little better in the US>

Russia would screw us over economically if it could, but the cold hard fact of the matter is that Russia has a minuscule economy. Many much smaller countries have economies that are larger that Russia's. Sometimes I think that producing new weapons of war is about the only thing that keeps Russia from a financial collapse. Russia is belicose $hit hole of a country.

This Atlantic article only tells some of the story. As most leftist media does these days it tells only what it wants to and uses the rest of the story to attack President Trump. In reality like many things Trump has seen the changes in the world manufacturing supply chains and used it to an advantage. China had become to costly and manufacturers were looking to move on to less costly locations to set up shop in. China feels the pain as its people end up out of work. As the Hong Kong protests show all is not well in China.

The Russians basically started WWII by allying with the Nazis. They were gearing up to stab the Nazis in the back when the Nazis struck first with Operation Barbarossa. They also killed 100K Americans by proxy during the Cold War, by training, supplying, feeding and funding North Korea and North Vietnam. Putin isn’t sending nuclear bombers right up to Alaska’s air space because Russia is a friendly power. Russia is almost the size of Canada and the US combined. To say that it needs more space is ludicrous. And yet the Russians have annexed parts of Georgia and Ukraine in the past decade.

The Cold War was an aberration, a time when countries lined up into two broad coalitions. In normal times, you can have more than one enemy. This is one of those times.
