Very few politicians I have met, or heard, did not have committing evil (in my opinion) acts as a part of their political philosophy...

We moved here 8 years ago and still love it. I was surprised when my oldest daughter and her husband moved here from Seattle last summer. And they are in the middle of closing on a very nice house as I type this (five acres and almost 4,000 sq ft for under $600k). In Seattle that place would cost millions.

My point is, in Q12016, it wasn’t a lock that Hillary would win OR be the Dem nominee, or that Trump would be bested by Jeb! or some RINO. McConnell’s delay might have even been pure spite for Obama. Even if that were true, it benefitted Normal Americans

I am wondering if he is bating the left to go for full blown bans and confiscation and getting them on record saying so?

As for Trump and the GOP there is no upside to any of the gun control proposals out there, none. They will lose votes if passed and they will not take the House back because the GOP will have thrown in with the Democrats and the result no choice, both parties get law abiding gunowners in the back with a knife.

I saw another article in which he dismissed an assault weapons ban.

He did entertain other legislation though.
