Sorry to hear of your father’s passing. Your Dad served in Vietnam the year after my brother had left there. He served in the U.S. Army too. Thank you for your father’s service. May he rest in peace, and may the Lord bless, and comfort you, and the rest of your family every day.

OneDoug was a member of my Electric/Plasma Universe and the Shroud of Turin Ping lists and I recall he was involved in both as an active participant. I regret having to remove his name from both for such a reason as his passing. My condolences and prayers to you and your family on your loss. He will be missed here on FreeRepublic. His contributions were always thoughtful and in the historic threads forever appreciated.

One of my favorite FReepers, who was challenging, insightful, learned, and very erudite.
We didn’t always agree, especially on spiritual matters, but I always welcomed his comments.
He made me THINK. I liked that about him.
