Arizona police on Tuesday arrested a mother who had left her baby in a hot car while shopping in a Target with her three other children, according to reports.

Officers responded to a Target store in Chandler – about 25 miles south of Phoenix – about 4:22 p.m. summoned by a report of a baby locked in a parked car, The Arizona Republic reported, citing court documents.

The caller said the baby was crying and sweating, and the car wasn’t running.

Thank God the baby was save. I don't like to think about if no one had noticed the baby in the car.

She took the other kids into the Target with her. Why did she leave this baby out there?

I’m sure she would’ve been out to the car much much sooner. But she did not know which restroom to use. At Target.

Four kids? She probably had all she could do just to take care of the kids she had. Completely forgot the baby.

Chandler police had a Target manager announce the name of the child’s mother, Holli Platt, over the store intercom, Phoenix’s Fox 10 reported. She then rushed outside, leaving her three other children inside the store, according to the station.

Not the sharpest tool in the shed.

Way too stupid to be in charge of kids. Unreal.

She ran out of Target leaving her other kids inside alone. She’s a questionable mother, to put it mildly.

Her picture will soon be posted and she is not at all what I expected, which was some low life looking trailer trash.

My wife, who is rarely wrong on such matters, says that 90% of these incidents are intentional.

I left my then three year old son strapped into his car seat in the parking lot and went into the store once. The ex-BIL and I were talking as we got out and I completely forgot about him. I was there for all of a minute before I realized he wasn’t with me.

I come by it honestly, though. My parents drove home from church once with the other two kids and left me behind in the nursery and didn’t figure it out until they got home.

That's very scientific of you and your wife.

The same kind of science that gave us AGW.

As unscientific as it sounds, my wife’s use of “Wifely Intuition” has been accurate many times, especially when assessing the minds, motives, and actions of other women.

Accurate many times when I have thought (not said out loud), how in the world can you come to that conclusion?

You don’t have to get too Scientific. Just combine a little common sense with an IQ over 10 and you’ll come to the conclusion that in all likelihood this was intentional.

Freaking ARIZONA?!? It was over 110 here in the Balley today. This was attempted murder IMHO. No one could be that ignorant to the effect of the heat. The car becomes an oven! Look, anywhere else, maybe...maybe some benefit of the doubt but here in the flipping desert? Fry her.

Mighty high and judgmental of ya.

How many times have you been in charge of four kids under the age of nine?

I admire the lady for having the kids and trying to take care of them, but your primary interest is to cross your arms and go “TSK TSK” because she messed up.

A couple times a month I get half way to work and drive back home because I’m not sure I put the garage door down.

I can totally understand how this could happen, but then I’m not perfect like you.

I live in the Phoenix area. With 112 F as the ambient temperature, the interior temperature of a car skyrockets immediately after you turn the AC off. The car becomes noticeably, dangerously hot very quickly.

Four kids is not too many to keep track of. I don’t know how a mother could possibly forget about her baby under the circumstances. My theory: she was impaired from drugs, alcohol, both.
