Did you not get the memo on the bumpstock ban that turned five hundred thousand Trump voters into potential felons? Those voters will be staying home and that is the best case scenario. This ban was literally the worst political move on the second amendment in recent history. It also sets precedent for very serious attacks on the 2nd amendment by the next dem administration. This ban set precedent where the definition of the text of law can be interpreted to mean anything. We are now at a point where a toaster oven could be deemed an automatic weapon. So yes there is every indication the President could sign a bill if he does not get enough pushback.
