Hey, not going to disagree much with the points which will be made on this thread, probably to do mostly with age. However, if it came down to what we have now, and Joe, it would be foolish not to take Joe. Not sure how, but he does have a bit of spark left.
As well, at the end of the day, he was truly targeted for takedown by the left. There was enough junk being dumped on him, and a universal left wing media war against him, that almost no one would have survived it.
If he really were to need to step aside, I would hope the gov then pics someone pretty far to the right of what we now have, which shouldn’t be real hard.

Geez, as much as I love the guy, he’s like a thousand. Time to retire. If you don’t like the job the new guy is doing, find an electable alternative and get him elected.
