Ridiculous! The military members, at least, were ORDERED overseas by their government. It would never hold up in court.

I was born in Europe in the 1950’s to a non-citizen, and I was adopted by 2 US citizens. My parents applied for my citizenship when we returned to the states, and I became a naturalized citizen when I was 5.

It sounds to me like President Trump is following ‘“The Law of the Blood” citizenship and eliminating citizenship under “The Law of the Soil”. You must be the natural born child of American citizen to be one. If not, you must become a citizen through naturalization. That was the practice of the USA when I was adopted, and it is the practice in most countries of the world.
