They think anytime a Republican is elected president, there must have been something 'illegitimate' going on. But: He was elected.
And, contrary to the endless litany of Democratic complaints, he was legitimately elected. You may not like the way we elect presidents through the Electoral College I do; if anything, I think the Founders erred on the side of making the presidency excessively democratic in character, with the disastrous results we see before us today but the Electoral College was not invented in 2016, and it was not created to frustrate the ambitions of Hillary Rodham Clinton. Some Russians posted some bulls**t on Facebook. The votes were what they were.
There are a few different ways to react to that. The thing that a normal political party in a normal country with a functioning political culture would do would be to crawl under the porch for a couple of days to recuperate, admit that your candidate was terrible and ran a terrible race with terrible advisers, and start looking around for somebody to do better next time. You might even if you were smart and in possession of a reasonable degree of intellectual honesty ask yourselves what it was about that other guy that some voters liked so much.
Thats one thing you could do. Or you could come over and sit on my front porch and hear more than you probably really wanted to hear about the inevitable decadence of mass democracy, which may shine for a moment but soon wastes, exhausts, and murders itself. And we would laugh a little at all the diehards on my street with their Beto for Senate signs up in their yards, still, after all this time.

I'm putting that on a t-shirt today. Going to wear that proudly too!!
It’s all about keeping some manufactured, false, bogus, not real “Trump Scandal” front and center in the lying Big Media. Like “Russia Collusion”, “Obstruction”, “Kavanaugh Misconduct”, and other falsehoods, “Ukraine Impeachment” exists simply to be talked about.
16, 17, 18, and 19 were ALL mistakes ...
everything that has happened since Trump was elected has been to control the narrative in order to avoid the truth coming out - namely that the Dems & their enablers, the FakeNewsMSM, colluded with the Deep State to try to prevent him winning and later to try to oust him.
the President can’t change the narrative until all relevant documents are declassified and released. the endless waiting for reports needs to end now.
re: “Whats Behind the Democrats Impeachment Gambit?”
Smoke and mirrors ...
What’s behind it?
Hate, anger, bitterness, desperation, disappointment, frustration, hostility, resentment, etc
I don’t think the Dem’s reasoning is very complicated. The idea is to create chaos by any means. If this causes the stock market to go down, social unrest, and more grist for the anti-Trump media, that’s the goal. It’s just more Cloward-Piven.
Any negative outcome for Trump will be further justification for impeachment proceedings thus creating a positive feedback loop.
You can see the girl power ticket coming from a mile away... they had to get rid of creepy joe.
Also, as far as impeachment goes, one or both parties have tried to impeach every president going back to herbert hoover.
When you have a room full of lawyers in the house and senate, it’s all they know how to do.
Ever since the election of GWB, and the way the Dims reacted to it, I have been convinced that it is there ego at stake. They think that we were better cheaters than they were. :)
Did you miss “Satan”?
They know that RBG will go slab surfing any time now. When that happens, the talking point will be: "We cannot consider any nominee for the Supreme Court while the president is under an impeachment inquiry."
Yeah...and McConnell will say the impeachment is in the house. The senate has tons of time to focus on an appointment. Ha ha.
I have always been of the opinion. That the Rats have to tar a Republican president with impeachment. They need to draw an equivalency to what happened to Slick Willie. If they actually remove Trump from office that’s just icing on the cake. That’s not going to happen just like it didn’t happen to Slick. The goal is to be able to say “Hah now you have an impeached POTUS!”. Yes its that childish!
This has been at the forefront of American entertainment, education and news media outlets for decades.
And RAT voters have sat idly by while it happened, with the notion that as long as they got what they wanted..........
For example, teacher's unions, police unions, etc, getting socialist handouts, etc.
My uncle votes RAT. I pointed out to him that his RAT candidate wants to take away his guns. My uncle said, "Well, he's for the working man."
My uncle is an idiot. Actually, most of my extended family are idiots. But he's special.
I want to say, "You mean, the working man doesn't own guns? The working man doesn't cherish freedom?"
My father voted for Obama, his excuse “ Romney has hidden money” /. Yep, he believed Romney has money, and its in secret bank accounts. My dad has always bitched about people with more money than him. Guess he thought obama was poor, My dad is an idiot too.
I think this circus has been created so that when RBG dies, the left will say that a President under impeachment proceedings should not be allowed to nominate a SCOTUS justice.
An effort to create Trump fatigue - a two edged sword - make as many people as possible believe the lies, and the rest who believe it is garbage get enough of them to just want the drama to be over and be of the mindset that if Trump is gone, the rest of us can get some peace, even if it is a raw deal. That’s the MO. The latter is the one most to be concerned about - the narrative must be set that removing the Democrats from power is the way to go.
Either or both. They could drag this out for a year.
