Barr is of course absolutely correct. The main problem is, that there are far too few people on our side with this high a profile willing to state this case forcefully and who are willing to push back against this purposeful destruction on a continual basis.
Right now all we have is President Trump fighting this on a daily basis. The rest of the republicans are virtually silent on this subject. They are too afraid to face the liberal firestorm that is the inevitable result.

I don’t think the GOP are afraid. They’re too happy making big bucks and setting up their kids to do the same to care about anything but themselves. We went from the Greatest Generation to the Greediest Generation boomers to now the dumbest generation (Millennials).

Boomer here. THe best part of me I attribute to my parents who were the greatest generation. Namely our work ethic, education, goal oriented, team player, resourcefulness, faith. My millinial kids are nothing like that. I blame colleges, phones and social media.
