In the wake of Sen. Ben Sasse's decision not to sign on to a formal endorsement of Trump's reelection by leading Nebraska Republicans, GOP primary challenger Matt Innis of Lincoln said he "will gladly support President Trump" and suggested that Nebraska Republicans should consider that difference when they vote next May.

Innis responded: "A clear difference between my opponent and me is that he won't support our Republican candidate for president and I will. Nebraskans should consider that when they go to the polls."
Sen. Deb Fischer, Reps. Jeff Fortenberry, Don Bacon and Adrian Smith, Gov. Pete Ricketts and former Govs. Dave Heineman and Kay Orr all signed the Trump endorsement. Innis is former chairman of the Lancaster County Republican Party.

Agree Sasse is a GOP-E stooge and needs to be removed.
This guy really needs to go. Trump should say nothing just lead his base deal with it. He should only come out in support of his opponent if he needs a little boost just before the primary
I’d love to see Sasse gone.
Unfortunately Trump already endorsed Sasse for reelection. But that’s just part of the game/dealmaking with McConnell.
Another badly written headline, suggesting that Sasse is supporting Trump and a challenger is questioning that.
In fact Sasse won’t suppor Trump and should roast in hell for it. Of course he is Ivy League deep state whore so what did anyone expect.

The only reason you can’t get a Conservative Senator in a Red State is McConnell and the GOP-e refuse to allow it.

Sasse decides to flip to RAT
Sasse is so hated in NE that it gives a opening to a RAT.

Sasse has the uncanny ability to fool a lot of Cornhuskers.
Trump should hold a rally in Omaha. He doesn’t need to vocally disparage Sasse (he may still need his vote between now and the election), just be seen with Innis and the other Trump supporters and comment how unafraid they are to take a stand with him. That’s enough to change the race. He ought to do one in Salt Lake as well and do the same thing. No attacks on Mitt, just be seen on stage with open supporters.

Yeah, it’s amusing to watch his gaslighting on twitter. Always talking about his love of Nebraska football, wearing Nebraska gear, etc. He’ll never send his kids there, of course. He and his are far better than the unwashed he represents.

This time my Nebraska vote is really going to count. Can’t wait to NOT vote for Sasse.
Sasse went to Harvard and had a beltway career before returning to Nebraska to burnish his resume in preparation for a run at political office. His kids will never go to Nebraska. I have no doubt there.
