This was known almost three weeks ago.

That is true. But the author of this article seems to be a bit more certain about the identity of the Whistleblower. Three weeks ago we were 95% certain we had the name.

This article infers that most of Washington knows this is the guy. It is a declaration that the 95% is now 100%

Only, their requests must first be approved by the Democrats. So there is a good chance the whistleblower, perhaps the most important witness of all, will remain protected from critical examination.

Somebody tell me how this vote changes anything. The Repubs get no additional rights or privileges do they? Yes, they can call their own witnesses, bur the rats must approve the request. This is the craziest thing I've ever heard of.
