Trump Makes Surprise Visit to American Troops in Afghanistan on Thanksgiving

President Donald Trump visited Afghanistan for the first time on Thanksgiving Day with a surprise visit to an airbase in the country to meet American troops.

Trump walked in to Bagram airbase unannounced as troops looked up from their Thanksgiving dinner.

“Alright, who wants some photos,” said one of the officers accompanying Trump into the room. Everybody stood up and cheered.

“You’re very special people … you don’t even know how much the [American] people love and respect you,” he told the troops. I was just thinking this morning how the President was going to spend the day, and wondered if because VP Pence had visited the troops in Iraq, he might be going to Afghanistan. Stay safe Mr. President!!

I appreciate the gesture but a good cause would be not having troops in Afghanistan to visit.

Next year he'll be able to shake the hands of service members who weren't even born when 9/11 happened.

Trump is supercharged...He does this for the love of country, to make it proud, to bring it back from those with bad intentions, those who hate America, such as the Democrats and their disciples of deceit in the media...Just reviewing his itinerary is enough to stress most people out. Trump built an empire before he ever ran for office. Trump’s done more before he ever ran for president than all the establishment politicians put together.

I know a man with 4 tours in Vietnam who never ate Turkey or even a hot meal in Vietnam on T Day. I recall eating INDIG rations west of Duc Lap on T Day, again on Christmas, plus New Years Eve and Day. Frankly the INDIG shrimp and mushrooms on rice was very good if we had bamboo near us. Fresh bamboo shoots are awesome.

Those were my first thoughts. I recall some other visit of Trumps that the media had a cow over because he left and did not tell anyone of no importance.

I can see the President tell the rats of such intentions only for them to tell the enemy of his plans before he touches down and have their own welcoming party to greet him.
