Businessman and combat veteran John James (R-MI) now leads incumbent Senator Gary Peters (D-MI) by one percentage point according to a new poll released this week.
The survey of 600 likely voters shows James leading Peters, 43% to 42%, and gaining support among independents.
This is very exciting news, but winning in Michigan won't be easy. The Democrats will spend millions to destroy John James and this new poll will only speed up their attacks.

You have to take both of those with a grain of salt.
However, it sounds plausible in light of an earlier poll: Republican John James tied in Michigan Senate poll
This is a real pick-up opportunity for the Republicans.

When is this Senate Election scheduled?
I’m thinking, the sooner the better.
One has to peak at just the right time.

Look at Pocahantas. She’s not doing badly, but she may have peaked in popularity too soon. Voters don’t stay focused for very long.

One thing about James is that a bunch of people still have yard signs....some are actually out right now (they are pretty cool looking), and he goes in with name recognition.

I hope he can keep it up, he will be a great senator. A smart savvy businessman wouod be a great addition.
I hope they keep the sign design from last time...it has a helicopter on it (big helo fan here).

Name “VISIBILITY” is a major weapon in our election campaigns efforts.
Make them large, readable, and when necessary, a kick in the balls of the Democrats.
“John James, protecting America against enemies foreign and domestic since (add year of enlistment).”
Stabenaw received the same number of votes in 2018 as Hillary did in 2016, meaning that all the Dems turned out to vote for her. James' loss was due entirely to the pathetic Republicans who stayed home..........
James stands a good chance of beating Peters if the Trump supporters get off their asses and vote...........
As a side note, a close friend of mine lives in northern Michigan and his major complaint against James in 2018 was that he totally ignored northern Michigan while campaigning..........
Northern Michigan had plenty of pro-life billboards as I remember.

My friend lives in Boyne City and all he saw was Democrat lawn signs...........
That area of the state used to be heavy conservative but over the years, it's been taken over by liberal flatlanders who relocated up there......
I think James will win this time (was close last time with no name recognition).
I do too considering his name will be in the same column as Trump's..........
