Pete Buttigieg earns 3 'Pinocchios' over claim he slashed black poverty rate 'by more than half' in South Bend, Ind.

Democratic presidential candidate Pete Buttigieg was awarded “Three Pinocchios” – the highest bluff rating on The Washington Post’s Fact Checker scale – after claiming last week that he had “cut the black poverty rate by more than half” in South Bend, Ind., since he became mayor there in 2012.

Buttigieg made the assertion at a Dec. 2 meet-and-greet in Allendale, S.C. – where the majority of the population is black. According to the Post, the 2020 hopeful used estimates from the Census Bureau but “cherry-picked the most flattering instead of the most scientifically reliable” set of data.

So sorry, but a mayor, any mayor, just hasn’t got that ability or power. Cut it by 50%, maybe, but increase it? Strongly doubt it.

I could see it, perhaps, if it were a small town and the mayor persuaded a major company, say Apple, to locate their next assembly plant in the vicinity, then it just might be possible that local income could increase by that much. . . but we’d have heard about the miracle of South Bend.

There is another way. . . the mayor is a secret slasher, a serial killer, who by night goes out and kills homeless and poverty stricken peo. . . Nah, we’d have heard about that too. . . Crime wave of huge proportion hits South Bend after new mayor elected. . . Nope, can’t be that. . ,

Can he name the policies he implemented that raised the economic fortune of black South Benders, or is he trying to surf on the coattails of the economic recovery, including the Trump Boom? Yep, the later...

Oh, but that’s such a cool idea for a thriller. I got a good name for the serial killer, too: The Body Judge. . .

Too bad. . . waddya think, would it resonate with the Dim voters?

Ah, our plot thickens. . . By day mild mannered Pajama clad mayor, body surfing the wave crests of ever increasing Trumpianic economic boom; by night donning the black robe and hood of The Body Judge, slashing the poverty rate by slaying the poor, because each black life matters. Between the two efforts, he leverages his efforts!

When the public learns about the CIA front Company McKinsey & Company that Buttigieg worked for, he is toast.

If Hillary gets into the race, a big house cleaning of candidates will happen. Mayor Pete and most of the others will be toast. I read that Hillary may do that. Strange times we live in. Hope we can survive them with a semblance of freedom still intact.

Vaseline-bottom Pete’s lying? That’s what happens when you have nothing positive to crow about.

When the numbers look good, politicians claim that they caused the numbers to go up. When the numbers are bad, they blame Whitey and say they have a plan to solve the problem if only we’ll elect them.
Phonies, all.

I’ll wager Pinocchio is one of Pete’s favorite movies.
