Prior to Woodrow Wilson, the State of the Union address was a letter written to Congress that was read to the House and the Senate by the clerk of that particular body. It’s not a bad idea to go back to that.

Just wanted to add, the President has not been impeached. The Dems are saying it like that to pretend his is, and is therefore no longer POTUS. But - they voted for articles of impeachment - like voting for an indictment. But there has been no trial and no decision to impeach him. :)

Very east to believe. But that's easy to overcome: he can hire a large auditorium in,let's say,central Pennsylvania and deliver it there.It would be billed in advance..very clearly..as "The State of the Union Address".
It would be interesting to see which networks would carry it.
After that he could do the same in Florida..and then Michigan.
