GOP retirements this cycle are NOT as likely to be the whiney RINOS that sabotaged is last time. I don’t know the specifics here, but I generally wish all Representatives would retire after 12 years.

Ditto! My personal philosophy is to never vote for those that want the office. One must strive to find capable leaders that reluctantly step up to the challenge. We must strive to search for candidates of honor and integrity who are humble to serve but not desirous of power and position.

Two reasons. First, 11 years (12 at retirement) he’s been in four terms. That’s plenty for anyone. If we had an ideal “term limits” for House members, it would be 12.
Second, as I wrote last September, I think something huge is going on with the House: it has committed suicide as an institution and has nothing to offer anyone.

I think my case has only gotten stronger after I wrote this.
Because that’s all it is in the House. A front row seat-—a spectator-—but they are doing nothing and I think are agreeing with me that the House will be able to do nothing going forward. It has committed suicide.
I really do think that the damage done by Rs in the Zero years by not standing up via either impeachment or a shutdown, followed by three years of DemoKKKrat insanity doing nothing but “muh Russia,” has made the House irrelevant.
No one wants to be a part of irrelevance.

It was his original intention to not serve perpetually. I think he served at least two terms beyond his original intention served seemingly for ever.From the outset, Roe did not want to serve for ever

Democrats have a core ideology, socialism, that drives them. The GOP not so much. Other than getting rich and setting their kids up to do the same it’s hard to see what the beltway GOP as party stands for.

ROE IS A RINO. Hated by the VETERANS who have to us the VA hospital in his district.
That does not mean that I've not given some effort to come to grips with the value of grasping philosophical issues. So far, for my purposes, the two Christian philosophers that I have depended on mostly are Elton Trueblood (practical) and Frances Schaeffer (analytical, wide-ranging, and precise).

We weren’t in the minority AND had every damn chance to STAY in the majority BUT the RINO’s in the house such as LYIN RYAN made damn sure we lost the house because of their hatred for Trump!! My disgust and absolute hatred of Ryan is just overwhelming that little jealous, sniveling PRICK did everything he could to undermine the POTUS of his own party just pathetic!!! Losing the house was awful HOWEVER it rid us of the worst of them and though we are in the minority NOW our side has never been this united AND they are fighting WITH Trump!!! I have every hope we will take the house back though it won’t be easy AND if we do get it back we will have drained the swamp there!!!
His GOP replacement will be cut out of the Marsha Blackburn cloth. No worries.
