Yes, the first two years under Trump, and perhaps this one too, was just sheer go along to get along.
The deep state involves most of the Republicans in the House.
It’s a real mess.
This involves a branch of our government that allowed people like Maxine Waters, Barnie Frank, Jerry Nadler, and other well known examples who were unfit to be a member, but the others just looked away.
Pelosi, Feinstein, and Boxer are three great examples from my own state, who lined their own coffers over the years, plundering tax dollars and anything not nailed down.
Family members and their organizations were often huge beneficiaries of legislation.
Biden’s son is just the tip of the iceberg. Members can’t benefit, but nobody said family members couldn’t, and they have been to the tune of millions upon millions.
The House is as corrupt as it gets.
Because we don't have term limits (12 years in each House, max, no grandfathering), and we need to eliminate Demwit judges who consistently rule in favor of the Demagogic Party agenda.
A good question, and I believe I have found the 20 minutes necessary to give something of a decent reply.
As a disclaimer, I will note that I am a professional Catholic theologian whose areas touch somewhat on your question, but do not tackle it quite head on.
I would begin by quoting/paraphrasing Chesterton who said something to the effect that the fall (or possibly original sin) is the only theological mystery that is experientially documentable.
I think a good philosopher should be able to see that there is something wrong with man. I also think a good philosopher should be able to know that God exists.
I hold these positions both philosophically (holding that they can be argued to on the basis of observation and sound reason) as well as theologically (because they have been revealed).
Given that there is something wrong with man, not everyone reaches both of these conclusions.
Man’s intellect does still seek truth, but given the fall, man often messes up in the quest for truth, sometimes through focussing on lesser truths, and sometimes for mistaking an error for the truth.
There are many ways to do this. I can’t judge what is going on in someone else’s head, and in some ways I am even less qualified to judge what appears to be going on in my own, because fallen man has a nearly infinite capacity for self-deception.
There is much more that could be said, but that is probably enough to start with.
I would add that in addition to seeking truth, man also seeks the good, the beautiful, and unity with others and within himself, but because of the fall, he frequently goes astray in these areas as well. One can learn a great deal about man in his fallen state by listening to a certain cross-section of country music. Most people would do better listening to country music with a little guidance than studying philosophy, at least if one’s philosophical studies are to be concentrated on the wrong side of Scotus.
Its all clearly explained in PeterSchweizers outstanding book Secret Empires. Congress has written the laws that make it legal for their families and close friends to make millions from those who want access and influence. It is outrageous.

You’re welcome. Practical is a good way to define it as well, in that it is vague enough to include both the truth and many things that are somewhat near the truth but would be somewhat erroneous. However, so long as people don’t become attached to and focused on error, it is good enough to muddle through most circumstances.
It is always both a privilege to be able to say something that seems to be substance that is heard and a pleasure to take time to reflect on such topics.
Lecturing in required courses does not always produce the same results.
