Florida Highway Patrol troopers only meant to write a simple citation, but it quickly turned into a felony arrest after they found $1.2 million worth of cocaine.

Troopers pulled over 27-year-old Elizabeth Espinoza on Tuesday afternoon after observing illegal window tint on her vehicle on Interstate 75 southbound.

Troopers noticed she was acting exceedingly nervous, which stood out because of the innocuous nature of the stop.

It is amazing in Californicator land where so many thing are illegal, that too tinted vehicle windows are not against the law.

Here, they use the magically/mysteriously broken tail lights to pullover a single vehicle out of the millions on the road in northern California with a lot of illegal drugs in the car.

After the vehicle is pulled over, another miracle happens.

Another cop car comes up with a canine drug sniffing dog in the back seat. As soon the 2nd cop car pulls up parks on the side of the road. The drug sniffing dog goes into high gear and finds a lot of wrapped packages that end up on the pulled over vehicles hood or top of the car or by the side of the road for everyone to see.

Our local family members live in 4 different Bay area counties, and every legal driver in each family has seen the broken tail light get drivers in trouble.

Amazing how that happens.

Rodriguez v. United States:

Unless police have “reasonable suspicion” of a crime, it is an unconstitutional seizure for them to extend a legal traffic stop in order to conduct a dog sniff.

Cops need probable cause to stop your car for a traffic violation. Then, they need more probable cause to search your vehicle, which includes the use of sniffer dogs.

If they do not have probable cause to search your car, any evidence found by the sniffer dog will be thrown out.

Here’s the scam...

They pull you over. They walk the dog around your car. The dog alerts. They ask your permission to search the car.

Job One for the driver...

Stay calm. Request a search warrant.

The cops know they can’t get a search warrant.

So, they badger you or goad you and try to get you to say or do something suspicious.

Stay calm, and keep asking for a search warrant, which will never come.

"It seems to me by watching Miami Vice that almost all drug dealers seal their packages by the kilo.

Who has the other three packages?"

Very good catch. I did some math that SEEMS to prove you have a very valid point!!!

12kg= 26lb 7.287578oz
26.7 divided by 9 = 2.966666666666667 Lb's per bag
1kg= 2lb 3.273965oz X 9 = 20.7 Lb's

Ahhhh Houston we have a problem--with the count!!!!!
