"Why he didn't just vote “present” is beyond me."

Even the hateful Murkowski voted present on Kavanaugh so Sen. Steve Daines could stay home for his daughter's wedding, and it wouldn't effect Kavanaugh's confirmation.

"Because their way of life has been paid for by graft and corruption and that is about to end unless President Trump is stopped."

Brings to mind the situation that existed with respect to President John Kennedy... The deep- state (Johnson) stopped any possibility of deviation from deep-state dogma very cleverly and quickly...

There's an olde saying: "Those who ignore history are doomed to repeat it"... Or something like that...

So, the smarmy little bugger found a way to weasel his way into the history books.

No real surprise there. I was mildly surprised he voted to acquit on the second charge. Trying to have it both ways I guess.

“Anything Trump does now will reek of vindictiveness payback especially to independent voters...”

That’s possible.

However, there’s a school of thought out there that today’s acquittal has now unshackled the president.

And I think it’s fair to say that our PDJT is not known for his reserved nature.

"Would have been nice to just vote down the charges out of the gate."

True, but it wouldn't have given the President's legal team the opportunity to argue the facts against the falsehoods. And coupled with the usual anti-America behavior on display last night by the Democrats at the SOTU speech, I'm sure there are many more people planning on voting for the President in November.

I see now that Romney also exonerated Hunter Biden. Fascinating. Somehow his conscience missed Joe Biden doing what Trump was accused of. Hm.

And there's this:

wake me up whenever this happens. If we win back the house, will Kevin McCarthy have the stones to investigate the coup or will he pull a Paul Ryan and be all “we need to be bipartisan for the good of the country to end this divisiveness” BS?

Bad news: the Iowa Democrat Committee was in charge of counting the votes. We’ll never know the true results.

Fantastic- Trump even managed to expose Romney as a bitter nutter.
Does Romney feel threatened because he also has family involved in the Ukrainian kickback?

Someone should have put this book in front of Trump and said, “Read this! Take it in! Before you walk in the Oval Office!”. The Rat play by these rules Republicans tend to think everyone will be “professional”.

“When you are charged with shit, you must acquit.”

I like the rhyme but shorter is better.

If the charges are shit, you must acquit!

The House impeachment documents should be used as toilet paper in a diarrhea ward, and then sent back to Pelosi, Schiff, and Nadler.
