As for America's annual Black History Month, actor Morgan Freeman spoke for many during this 2005 exchange with CBS's Mike Wallace on "60 Minutes":
Wallace: "Black History Month, you find …"
Freeman: "Ridiculous."
Wallace: "Why?"
Freeman: "You're going to relegate my history to a month?"
Wallace: "Come on."
Freeman: "What do you do with yours? Which month is White History Month? Come on; tell me."
Freeman: "Stop talking about it. I'm going to stop calling you a white man. And I'm going to ask you to stop calling me a black man. I know you as Mike Wallace. You know me as Morgan Freeman. You're not going to say, 'I know this white guy named Mike Wallace.' Hear what I'm saying?"
Despite years of Black History Februarys, many know little to nothing about the vast role played by Arab and Muslim slavers in the African slave trade. The practice began centuries before Europeans slavers bought and transported slaves out of Africa and continued well after European slavery ended.

The Left acts like the US Government invented the concept of slavery in 1620 and persisted in the slave trade until 1865 at which point slavery on Earth ended and was replaced, by the US government, by Jim Crow.
Slavery is old.
The US government consistently tried to reduce slavery in our territory.
Jim Crow is strictly a Democrat thing.
Slavery persists today, but it does so outside the US, with slave owners being almost exclusively dark skinned.
If anything, we are the Good Guys in this story.
I still believe that “Saint” Martin Luther King, Jr., would have been right in the middle of the black handout brigades all these years and would have been a front-liner in the anti-Trump Squad.
His personal history was sleazy and corrupt, but you’ll never see anything about that anywhere in the media.

... he was so white that the Muslim texts praise his whiteness, made it a capital crime to say he was black, and not only did he own black slave, he valued them as half an Arab slave and even said the devil looked like a particular black slave of his.
Wherever Islam went they took slaves, they burned libraries, the disrupted trade ... all across North Africa there are ruins because the Muslim hordes killed everybody, so there wasn’t as much recycling old structures to make new that wiped clean while ancient communities elsewhere. The Mali, Muslims, grew rich kidnapping other blacks from the sub-Sahara and marching them off to Arab slave markets. Who knows what civilizations the Muslims destroyed in the sub-Sahara where people built using wood rather than stone.
But, you know, the religion that actually values people no matter the color of their skin, Christianity, that has the Son of God bearing our sins, is the religion of black slavery ... say many black Muslims.
Wait a second, I saw the 1970s TV series ‘Roots’, in fact it was on TV again last week, and those slave traders were whites not blacks.
In fact they used nets to catch the future slaves just like the Apes did to capture humans in the Planet of the Apes movie.
He died before he could become corrupted by the ability to shake down folks over civil rights. We will never know what he might have done. Had Je$$ie Jack$on died way back when he might be lionized now too.

I didn’t see anyone mentioning the Trans Sahara slave trade.... Youtube has some presentations on it.
When I was on active duty, I spent a fair amount of time in Africa training African soldiers and, prior to Robert Mugabe going nuts, spent some time in Zimbabwe. I became very good friends with a Captain Zindoga, who took the time to give me his perspective on the history of Zimbabwe, Africa (where slavery is still very much alive, by the way), slavery and the role of Africans in the slavery trade.
Zindoga took me to the remains of a rather large village, which he explained had been a slave camp, i.e., a camp in which slaves were housed on their way to the coast, to be sold to Dutch and British slavers. He went on to explain that it was quite common for members of one tribe to capture and sell members of another tribe to slavers. The slavers, he said, “would never venture this far from the coast. If it were not for African tribes selling slaves, there would have been no slave trade.”
On another note, I don’t recall any mention whatsoever of the blacks who owned slaves...

I heard the same stories when I was in Africa
why not teach about the black slave owners in America? Some had large numbers of black slaves- and there were quite a few black slave owners from what i understand
