Incomplete results indicated the nonprofit executive was headed to either a third- or fourth-place finish in a 15-way primary race to represent the suburban Houston district
Top Houston political scientists said the outcome may be an indicator of the Bush family's waning clout as its signature "compassionate conservatism" has gone out of style in the Republican Party.

The Bush family is a victim of the information age. Prescott the nazi partner who narrowly escaped prosecution. GHW Bush who cant remember where he was when JFK was murdered. Reagan shot a month into his first term by a Bush family friend. The cocaine into Mena Arkansas operation run by Bush. W and his Presidency was the last before Bush family BS could be exposed. By the end of his last term, people like him had nowhere to hide.
Families like that could only exist in the dark.
Left-wingery in certain venues was a Bush signature. The Bushes, father and son, worked to defuse Republican opposition to racial preference schemes (see Bush the Younger’s preferred scheme for allocating admissions slots at the University of Texas) and adopted marketing strategies (‘kinder, gentler nation’; ‘compassionate conservatisim’) which legitimated the social worker mentality by implicitly conceding points to the social work lobby.
They had no compassion to spare for blue or white collar workers already in the country. Good riddance to a dynasty that did its best to create a permanent Democratic majority.
The Bush family is enough to make one consider that Madame DeFarge had the right idea.

I don’t like the Bushes, but this is drivel similar to the Soviet propaganda you keep selling about Russia’s scheming with Germany to partition Poland, kicking off WWII. So instead of having Poland as a buffer state before the Germans could get to Russia, the Germans got to stomp the Russians right from the git-go. In substance, Prescott Bush’s violation of the ban on trading with Germany consisted of helping a German who was hostile to Hitler get financial assets out of Nazi Germany and into the US. Since the violation did no harm to the US and conferred no benefit on the Nazi regime, only a nominal punishment was imposed. And justly so, it seems to me.
