Ronald Ernest Paul was born on August 20, 1935, in Pittsburgh,[12]

Paul earned a Doctor of Medicine degree from Duke University’s School of Medicine in 1961, and completed his medical internship at the Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit and his residency in obstetrics and gynecology at Magee-Womens Hospital in Pittsburgh.[17][18] Paul served as a flight surgeon in the United States Air Force from 1963 to 1965 and then in the United States Air National Guard from 1965 to 1968. Paul and his wife then relocated to Texas, where he began a private practice in obstetrics and gynecology.[18]

It would be a high-risk political move to fire Fauci. Critics would argue the only reason he was fired is because he was successful at bringing the mortality projections down by arguing for the implementation of successful measures. So it would be an “impeachable offense” yet again.

It amazes me that in just a matter of a few weeks we have gone from apparently a apocalyptic 2.5 million dead in the United States to just 60,000. While I understand it is a model to predict the number of deaths, hospitalizations etc. A model that me off by over 2 million and anyone who continues to pedal that that is an accurate way to run an operation or response to something is no longer trustworthy to me.
If the initial model had say predicted 120,000 deaths but had been revised down slightly due to the social distancing measures according to the experts I might be willing to believe them.

As I understand it, at least some of the mitigation measures being used were being figured into the model from the beginning. It would seem improbable that it would be the case with the initial 1M - 2M dead goof, but it apparently was.

Actually Fauci changed his death estimates from the original 2 million just a few weeks ago to his latest figures of 60,000.

My brother, who’s firmly in the orange-man-bad camp, laughed at me yesterday when I told him the Clinton-loving doctors should be replaced because you cannot trust democrats, and you most certainly can’t trust democrats associated with the Clintons in any way.

... but having Hillary-loving sycophants presents NO problem to him - and he doesn’t even SEE this, in spite of the fact that every damn RAT Trump keeps on the ship ends up biting him in the end.
Firing Fauci at this point in time, in the middle of a pandemic, would just fuel more political theater that Trump doesn’t need to deal with at this point.
Trump is all about raising expectation so he promotes the treatment and praises it to the skies. The experts are a little offended that the president doesn't take their advice, but basically they are on the same page. Then the media get involved and all of a sudden it's some big rift between Trump and Fauci or Birx.
Fake news. They come from different backgrounds and have different styles. Policy changes to deal with a situation that people think is unprecedented. But they are still working together. Firing Fauci now would be a political disaster for the president and he knows it.
Oh, and the doctor can be seen in group a photograph with Soros.
