Presumptive Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden has a nine-point lead over incumbent President Trump among registered voters. However, fluid support for both candidates suggests that a strong, post-coronavirus response could swing the election for the president, according to the Just the News Daily Poll with Scott Rasmussen.
The first JTN survey of the presidential race shows Biden with the single-digit advantage among registered voters and a seven-point lead among those most interested in the election.
"Those results reflect an improvement for Biden compared to a poll I conducted last month," Rasmussen said. "At that time, Biden had a five-point edge among registered voters, and the candidates were virtually even among those with the highest level of interest (i.e. those most likely to vote). Perhaps being out of the spotlight is good for Biden, or perhaps the growing impact of the lockdown is beginning to have an impact on the presidents support."
However, Rasmussen also pointed out "an interesting dynamic" among those who are not Strongly for or against the president (roughly a quarter of all voters). Among those who Somewhat Approve of the president, just 57% are committed to voting for him at this time.
Twenty percent (20%) prefer Biden, while 23% arent committed to either candidate. As for those who Somewhat Disapprove of the president, just 65% are committed to voting for Biden.
"Five percent (5%) would vote for the president, presumably as the lesser of two evils," Rasmussen said. "Thirty percent (30%) are not committed to either candidate. This suggests that theres a lot of room for movement, the president has some catching up to do."

- Registered voters Biden +9 - Likely Voters Biden + 7 - Men Trump +1 - Women Biden +26
Now a few weird things, in a separate article at site, Trump approval is at 50% among very interested voters which would not translate into 40% of the vote.
Unweighted, the poll is 38% R and 36% D but was re-weighted to a 37% D 32% R.
So basically this poll is all over the place. The only thing I can tell is that Biden being off the campaign trail and out of thr spotlight is a good thing for him.
There are WAY TOO MANY STUPID and EVIL people in America!!
I thought everyone agreed in 2016 that polls are useless?
For sure....I’m just commenting on STUPID so many people are in America who answers these polls!
Anyone who is thinking about voting for Joe Biden
has not recently seen Joe Biden.
We’re believing polls now?
They're not voting for Biden so much as voting against Trump.
There’s a reason why almost no videos come out from Biden from the MSM. The debates, will annihilate this so-called poll.
Of course, there are still lots of Trump haters who will vote for anything that crawls or walks as long as its not PDJT.
Hiden Biden is a good campaign strategy.
Some other company did the fieldwork for the poll. Interesting.
Wow Trump’s polling is almost as bad as the day he won the election!
The poll as noted, is a mish mash of information. That said, people do stupid things when faced with massive unemployment and the need to support their families. I believe Trump will win, but dont discount Biden. No matter how dumb and mentally impaired he is, he has a chance in this race, and a good one. Biden will have to pull off the inside straight of MI, PA and WI to win, but do you feel confident today that Trump has any of the 3 in hand? Thats our challenge.
at least 2 generations of white kids gone through the universities are a concern.
White male high school grads and black men will decide this thing.
Taking the vote away from women would make everything much easier but that’s probably not gonna happen
They have to stop taking these polls at the DNC.
No, that's the wild-ass guess of the writer.
Biden may do well with fact checkers in a debate on some of what he says because he has problems stating any facts, staying on topic
completing thoughts, or making any sense at all.
They may try to find a Biden lookalike for a debate though (a strategy some Democrat insiders believe they did for the debates for the 2016 election, apparently).
We did, but let's not take them lightly either. Our side needs to show up in November.
I think we should. The worst thing we can do is get complacent. The Democrats have proven time and again they will use any and all dirty tricks to take back power. Now they're trying to use the Corona Virus stimulus bills as a means to replace voting in person on election day with ballot harvesting. We cannot afford to sit back, dismiss polls we don't like, and assume that President Trump will easily coast to reelection. We have to get out there and fight for every vote right up until the polls close on election day. After President Trump has been reelected, then we will have the luxury of laughing about how inaccurate the polls were.
