Question: Can people blow on the dice before throwing them? Will a dorky employee run over to spray them?
And the good card hand being shown will then be disinfected?
Maybe play in hazmat suits with boots and helmets. And use a Covid free pointer to push slot machine choices which will eject a slip with Handi-Wipe attached to show your winnings.
These casinos reopening are on Indian reservations. As the Indian lands are sovereign governmental entities, they can decide to reopen regardless of what Gavin Newsom says.
Well, this is what you get when you allow an impossible situation. We have sovereign nations within another sovereign nation! It doesn’t work!
Here’s what has to happen with the “tribes.” Choose one: 1) independence, 2) full and unqualified American citizenship. Cannot have both. With independence, there have to be borders, a different currency, different military, different president, different congress. With citizenship all special privileges go away, and the “tribes” are dissolved, and the members are American and have to drop the moniker “Native American.”
Got to happen! but obviously won’t! Victim status is easily monetized.
Many people don’t realize that much of the Palm Springs area is checkerboarded with Indian reservation land. See map:

In fact, many hotels, restaurants and other business sit on Indian reservation land, and, in theory at least, might be able to thumb their noses at Gavin Newsom. That could be why a lot of Palm Springs restaurants have reportedly reopened to the public. The powers that be are “letting them,” possibly because they might not be able to stop them if it were litigated.
One could almost believe that O.C. doesn't actually exist.
Casinos? YES!
Wineries for wine-tasting? NO!
I cannot figure out the rationale for who gets to open and who has to stay closed...........
Simply because these are Native-owned establishments. Gov Nuisance couldnt do squat about it as they have a unique federal-tax category.
Every wonder why Jerry Seinfeld, Pat Benatar do their shows at Indian casinos? For tax purposes.
I know Morongo opened on Saturday because my gambler bud goes there as a regular and wins at at the tables, and told me this morning it was PACKED. What annoyed him were the mandatory mask rules but it gave everybody an advantage at the poker tables as know one shows their tells facially.
