Thugs is not a way to describe these people, it’s too nice.
Thugs often have enough of a brain to think, these dawgs are animals.

If George Floyd would have lived he would have told them they deserved those cars.

And the thousands in ATM cash for expenses. And high priced women’s jewelry and fashions. It just feels right./s

Crimes of opportunity.

Gotta give them credit- much smarter than stealing sneakers from Foot lockar or slim jims from the quickmart.

And we ALL pay for it in higher product prices. The stores and dealers have deductibles, lost business, and higher insurance premiums to pay which all get passed on to every single buyer.

Property damage could be in the billions nationwide.

I heard some idiot say that its only property damage, and that insurance will.cover everything.

Even if insurance pays off for everything for these business owners, which it likely does not, does that justify intentional wanton destruction??????

I wondered when the “protesters” would start targeting auto dealerships.

I’ve seen a few posts from yentas and Karens saying that condemning looting is not the right approach and that I should be more “understanding” about what’s causing the anger.

OK, Karen, what the BLEEP am I supposed to understand about stuff like this? Maybe the truth is you don’t know what the flip you’re talking about and that you’re excusing criminal behavior because you think it’ll get you some woke brownie points.

Broken windows, missing engines and chopped. That should have been the looters.

If the police can’t protect the citizens, the citizens should protect themselves.

There was an Audi dealership in LA that was really busy emptying their lot as the “protesters” were gathering around. They must have sent all their employees and their families in there to evacuate the lot before dark.

Protesters?

Right

This happened at more than one place during Katrina in New Orleans.

Why not remove the batteries of all vehicles, including any electric ones (disable/disconnect). Not brain surgery. They can’t have thought to bring a jumper for 70 cars. Blocking is good— not letting them start up is better. And another thing—hire licensed armed detectives and authorized to use force (perhaps impossible is pussy California).

Unless this is one way to offset lost sales...possible.
This seems needless. San Leandro. But then again California is a mental State, and the firearms laws are Byzantine.

My bud owns a dealerhsip here in L.A. On the weekend AND for the past 2 days, he MOVED the cars to the very back of the lot to avoid this. The difference which saved of the high fence surrounding his dealership unlike MOST open lots.

This was obviously organized, and coordinated with organized crime.

Hidalgo said as a precaution against thefts he had parked cars at all the lot exits.

If it was my lot, I would have pulled the main fuses and starter relays on all of the vehicles and taken them along with the keys off premise.

I also would have stood guard with my AK-47, but this was in California so he probably would have been arrested and convicted in the media if he shot any of the youths who were simply stopping to admire the cars.

Grand theft auto, vandalism with extreme property damage. These evil thugs should be locked up for decades. It won’t happen, but it should.

The dealership says it has hired armed guards for the foreseeable future. Losses and damage is estimated at $5 million.

$5mil that will be paid by his insurance company no doubt.

Grand theft auto is an essential business because they can vastly increase the amount of guns they can steal from the gun shops.
