A deep-state guy, who was baffled by Trump’s pick of him to take the highest FBI position.
The problem that Trump had from the beginning, and still has, is that, he’s not from the inside, or from the Washington swamp / deep state. Thus, he’s not aware of the problems that he hires; he’s dependent on ‘others’ to help him choose his ‘assistants’, while those ‘others’ were/are part of the deep-state.
Wray is no different than the fox who was chosen to guard the hen-house.
