If you adopted your pet from a rescue shelter, they probably have a microchip embedded just beneath the skin on the back of their neck. It's a tiny radio-frequency identification (RFID) chip that's no larger than a grain of rice, and it helps you find your furry friend if they ever get lost.
Now, in a strange twist, you could also have a microchip just like it, as some companies have adopted the tracking technology in lieu of keys or traditional building access badges.
Last week, however, the Michigan House of Representatives took a preemptive strike against the technology, passing a bill to make the microchips voluntary in the state. The Microchip Protection Act would allow Michigan employers to use microchipping, but could in no way force employees to participate.
"With the way technology has increased over the years and as it continues to grow, it's important Michigan job providers balance the interests of the company with their employees' expectations of privacy," Rep. Bronna Kahle, the Republican who sponsored the bill, said in a press statement.

Mark of the beast. We need an amendment in the constitution about forced artificial parts.
For those of you interested in the possible Mark of the Beast.
Of all places Michigan.
PM me if you wish to be added/removed from the End Times Ping.

Yes, voluntary in the same way that contributions to the “United Way” are voluntary.
Candidates need to ask voters whether they approve of the gov’t installing chips into their bodies?

or force companies to hire unwilling workers
It should not be “voluntary” (if you want this job, a promotion, etc.). It should be prohibited.
voluntary today,,mandatory tomorrow,,just like the mask
... or force companies to hire unwilling workers
The clock, it be ticking
Just, “wow!”
Voluntary, if you want to work.
Keeping God at bay is craziness. We need His will done. The answer to the riddle is to get on God's side.
“Yes, voluntary in the same way that contributions to the United Way are voluntary.”
Yep, seen that. They’ll use the ‘Microchip Compliance Rate’ (MCR) of his direct reports (employees, for those of you in Rio Linda) of a manager as part of his annual assessment, which is used to determine raises, promotions, etc.
I don’t want anything to be mandatory.
But the amount of ignorance that is expressed every time RFID is mentioned is just staggering. These devices obey laws of physics that are completely predictable and immutable, including the inverse square law which makes it impossible to read the chip from more than a short distance away. Shielding prevents even that from occurring and nothing can alter this behavior. It’s entirely within a company’s right to restrict access within its facilities and systems and employees have no right to refuse to demand a physical key for example when electronic access control has been implemented. Again, it should NOT be mandatory! But there are benefits and reasons beyond just big brother paranoia.
Ive worked for a couple fairly large companies. Surprisingly neither has ever participated in United fraud.
Ive always looked forward to having a battle with them but never have.
Wanna compare charitable donations? Glad to. Ill win.
Wanna compare time donations. Glad to.
Vacation time donated to charities? 1-2 weeks a year.
Now, go feel good about your $2 a month United way enforced donation
Facial recognition, and something MS did with a camera that would recognize someone’s bone structure...distance between knee and heel, and elbow and wrist and gait and... combine those with autho’ed persons data for a location and why would you need to implant a chip?
DK
Never... No F’ing way
Passive RFID seems impractical for use in tracking. It’s range is too short. It could, at best, record when you pass through a doorway or pass close by a receiver.
You’d need to implant an active powered tag to actually track anyone from any distance, I’d think.
There is a backlash (hope that word is not band too, because of “”lash” part) building. It will be a terrible sight. See Mat Bracken’s “ What I saw at the coup”.
Sed libera nos a malo.
Yet.
They are softening us up to the idea.
