For the past few weeks, I have been obsessed with a mystery emerging in the national COVID-19 data.
Cases have soared to terrifyingly levels since June. Yesterday, the U.S. had 62,000 confirmed cases, an all-time high—and about five-times more than the entire continent of Europe. Several U.S. states, including Arizona and Florida, currently have more confirmed cases per capita than any other country in the world.
But average daily deaths are down 75 percent from their April peak. Despite higher death counts from the last few days, the weekly average has largely plateaued in the last two weeks.

And that's with motorcycle crash deaths and bathtub slip and fall deaths being counted as covid deaths.
Because only certain people should see the virus as a real threat...and most of *them* have already been exposed.

It’s because all the old folks in Nursing Homes with underlying conditions are already dead.

I think a big change is that they figured out that ventilators were killing people.
Saw on the Drudge page that there new death records being set, ICU shortages, body bags, blah, blah, blah. Hysteria it is.
I like to see low death rates (of course).
And more cases are better. We need herd immunity. I think everyone should get COVID, as long as its not fatal.
Where’s the task force? Where is Pence setting the record straight every day? He’s totally blown the messaging on this.
So we compare case counts to two weeks ago, but death counts to 3 months ago? No, compare apples to apples.
2 weeks ago, the 7-day moving average for US COVID-19 deaths was 554. Now it’s 761, driven primarily by increases in California, Texas, Florida, and Arizona. That’s a 37% increase in daily death counts. Hopefully that starts dropping again shortly, but it’s dishonest to say it’s plateauing or dropping right now.

Maybe because they have been caught claiming ANYTHING from a motorcycle accident Death to probably an abortion is the KungFuFlu!
For one, it’s because the elderly and those most at risk are taking precautions.
Umm... maybe because it’s not a killer virus as they are trying to lead us to believe.
Chicken Pox would kill a 75 yr old who already has high blood sugar, high blood pressure, diabetes and/or pneumonia.
A simple cold could do it as well.
People watch (and believe) too many disaster movies.
The non-PC answer is that those most vulnerable have already passed.

I firmly believe that the numbers being recorded are so falsified that we can’t make any conclusions from them. It’s going to take a lot of careful research to untangle the lies.
The numbers you are using are flawed.
But, if you want to use them, do a proper comparison. Rise in number of cases vs rise in deaths.
