Do you mean mg. or IU (International Units). Labeling has changed recently. 1000 IU = 25 mg. 5000 IU is often suggested as a daily use in winter for those with SAD (winter depression). 50,000 IU a week for a while sounds about right to restore low levelshas given dose levels for Quercetin as 100 mg. a day for maintenance, and 500 mg twice a day for Covid treatment along with 220 mg of zinc sulfate aday for 5 days, I have not found zinc sulfate, but have zinc picolinate and another form (not with me at the moment). I think I heard Dr. Z say we should try for 50 mg. of elemental zinc.
more research needed, unless someone already has the answer.

See my Comment 40 where the links’ comments deal in great detail with the deliberate lack of interest in zinc. Also my Comment 42 where my PC eliminated the information from line 2 that Dr. Z was the source of the Quercetin doses I listed.

My quercetin capsules are 800 mg quercetin; 165 mg bromelain. I take two/day spread out.

He is dead in about four minutes if he doesn’t and it erupts.

This type of eruption is the only surgery our trauma folks did not “scrub” for. They just cut and went in.

He’s my hero. I pray for him every day at Mass. Will write more tomorrow. His surgery is tomorrow (Monday). He’s only 46, and this is quite serious. Angels and saints, pray for dear Zev! Merciful Lord, strengthen and sustain him!

I do not know if this question was addressed to me or not, but whatever I have done so far in the past I always been using either grams or milligrams for measurements.

For chloroquine & HCQ (considered even safer) when used at normal malaria treatment doses/duration, WHO publications prior to 2017: there has never been a case of cardiac arrhythmia reported in many decades of use.

In one of (I think Raoult's) studies, there were a few readings of slight prolongation, but nothing came of it, no cardiac deaths. I can send data to date on QT prolongation if I can find it in my notes.

(I had 1000's of links on my Twitter account, and both the account and every bit archive disappeared Sat. July 11 without notification, without cause and without a trace.)

The dose you are taking is higher than Dr. Z’s recommendation for medical treatment. He recommends 100 mg a day for prophylaxis. You probably ought do some research on toxicity. I just checked on toxicity of HCQ and CQ and they reported danger to the eyes which can continue long after the doses are stopped. Of course, Dr. Z was only suggesting for 5 days.

Dr Raoult’s HCQ study was done without zinc. However, the diet in the area where he did his research includes seafood which is rich in zinc. After he has spoken with Dr. Z, it is reported that Dr. Raoult has added zinc to his treatment with HCQ. See my Comment #49 regarding HCQ toxicity.

Thanks for your concern but I am taking only half the recommended dosage as it is. I’m not sure why you think hydroquinone or quinone side effects have anything to do with quercetin. I do seem to have one mild and documented side effect from quercetin — a feeling of “heavy legs”.

This segment, on Ingraham Angle, tonight...will make your blood boil (if it’s not, already!)...

Dr. Harvey Risch on the war against hydroxychloroquine

https://video.foxnews.com/v/6173447838001

Medical Boards, across the country, are THREATENING doctors who have the guts to prescribe HCQ to Covid patients.

Dr Risch claims that hundreds of thousands of lives could have/could be saved, if this drug were easily prescribed, as in OTHER countries.

The left cares less about LIVES...they only want to destroy Americans, to destroy Trump.

Sick and sad.

I’ve seen the recommended preventative dose, for Quercetin (as suggested by Dr Z, and the CA doctors who first began calling out Newsome), as 500 mg/day, along w/zinc.

Do you mind saying where you read/heard taking 1,600 mg/day?

TIA.

1600 mg is the recommended dosage given on the bottle; actually, now that I read more carefully, the recommendation is 2 capsules, two to three times/day, or up to 2400 mg (each single capsule is 400 mg quercetin).

“Amazing Formulas” quercetin/bromelain.

So I am toward the low end of dosing. Because of the “heavy legs” feeling, which comes and goes, I, personally, will not increase my dose unless I get some covid symptoms. At first I thought it was my hypertension medication that was causing the sensation. But the feeling at least means the bromelain is getting it into my system! It also means this is “real” quercetin since that is a recognized side effect.

I did not say that hydrochloroquine or chloroquine side effects have anything to do with quercetin. I merely cautioned that it is wise to research toxicities and doses of anything you plan to take, especially if it is on a regular basis or for a long period of time. Try cutting your quercetin dose in half and see if the “heavy legs” are cleared up in a week’s time.

I skipped one day and found the sensation had a half life of about 16 hours. An aching pain in the thighs that can’t exactly be localized any better than that. Relieved it isn’t actually my blood pressure medicine causing it. Ironically, quercetin can be used to treat other types of leg pain.

Could it possibly be a blood clot, or a change in calcium or magnesium metabolism?
