That has to be the fake news story of the day, or history is already being re-written.

In fact, the younger Tsarnaev was found wounded and hiding in a boat by a guy in Watertown who went out back to smoke a cigarette. The various SWAT teams, police, and federal agents had missed him as the searched the neighborhood and rousted people from their houses.

The credit for finding the terrorist should go to the civilian who actually found him. After that happened multiple teams including FBI SWAT teams converged on Tsarnaev.

searched every house and yard in Boston and then got a call from a guy whose property you supposedly searched twice, to say "oh you might have missed the trail of blood going to my boat, the open tarp and the noise coming from inside during your special ops tactical search procedures", so "maybe you should come back for the third time and shoot the sh*t out of my boat and still somehow miraculously manage not to hit the unarmed stoner inside it" so after all that you'll need to ask the teenager to get out of my boat. The daughter of a friend of mine saw someone sneaking across their backyard, then hiding under their boat; she told her father and her father called the cops who just arrived, walked up to the boat and told the bomber to come out with his hands raised. You don’t need a team with automatic weapons, helmets and tactical vests for that. Barney Fife could have apprehended him.
