CA fires have been common since the 60’s.
Anyone remember when Yellowstone burned back in ‘88?

Yes. When will it get wide attention? It’s another disgusting example of censorship.

This is key, and it’s something that the national media is (tellingly) not really addressing. The fires this year in CA and OR do seem to be of an extraordinary magnitude. There is some bleating about global warming, but it seems like the media doesn’t really want to show just how bad this is.
I have heard a few theories on why, such as:
1) The incompetence of Democrat leadership would be exposed.
2) The only thing they care about is getting badorangeman, so this story isn’t a priority. It takes a good bit of work to make the fires Trump’s fault, though they can manage it.
3) Antifa is starting fires, which doesn’t fit the “mostly peaceful” riots narrative. While the FBI immediately ruled it out, the perps keep getting caught.
Maybe it’s one of these, all of them, something else, or a combination. It’s definitely something. These fires are bad. It’s seems like a really easy thing for the media to cover, and they LOVE easy. Two of the most anti-Trump states are literally on fire.
California’s problem is a combination of factors:
1) poor forestry practices
2) environment (not global warming/cooling)
3) arsonists
You can’t do much about number 2, but if they cured number 1 and number 3, they could reduce their wildfires dramatically.
By the way, I grow and manage timber for a living.
You can’t clear brush in Cali because it could bother the kangaroo rat. Or the spotted owl. Or some fly.
Do you think the arsonists will ever get wide attention? They’d better start reporting the truth.

Is the US Forest Service as leftist as California’s? I ask because appx 45% of Calif. forests are under Federal control.
