Republican Sen. Ron Johnson of Wisconsin has tested positive for coronavirus after being exposed to someone with the virus earlier this week, according to his spokesman, making him the third GOP senator to test positive in 24 hours and threatening the quick confirmation prospects of Judge Amy Coney Barrett to the Supreme Court. Johnson did not attend the Barrett nomination ceremony where several people appeared to have been exposed to the virus because he was quarantining from a prior exposure, during which he twice tested negative for the virus, according to the spokesman. Unlike Democratic senators, Senate Republicans meet three times a week for lunch. And while they sit in a large room, they remove their masks to eat and to speak. Johnson, Lee and Tillis all attended Senate GOP lunches this week. If the three senators remain out this month, it would effectively prevent Barrett from being confirmed to the Supreme Court until they return, which could be after Election Day during a lame-duck session. A lame-duck confirmation is a situation that GOP leaders are eager to avoid in case they lose control of the chamber next month.

AAAAAAAAAAND IT'S ANOTHER REPUBLICAN...
Now is the time to come out and say the Senate hearings for ACB will take place virtually. Democrats have been hammering that point home for months. Now declare it and put the rats on record.
Seems like a lot of Republicans are gittin’ the Chicom Cooties. At least the Dems aren’t giving us their HIV....
After the Russian Hoax and the Fake impeachment, I’m not buying the apparent targeting of key Republicans, along with President Trump.
So he tested neg twice and now he’s positive? Does he really have it or a remnant (non producing).
....and yet it’s ok for every citizen to have four mail-in ballots...
Pelosi says “LOOK. IT IS A VICIOUS VIRUS!!! NOW REPUBLICANS KNOW!!”
She is getting CATCHY confused with VICIOUS.
Like some dolts here and other places.
There’s quite a big difference.
If all of these Rs who got it come out just fine, then exactly where is the viciousness, besides in the heads of dems and a handful of pearl clutchers??
And wanna be doctors?? Again on this site and off.
It’s dangerous if you’re over 80 and frail. I do believe that.
That don’t exactly make it the black death.
not just a lot of Republicans, a lot of Republicans in the Senate. Why has the House been immune?
I’m thinking more and more that the republicans are actually behind this.
They are all testing positive in time to be done with it - with no ill effects - by election day.
Are the tests just getting super sensitive ?
What are the stats on these tests on FALSE POSITIVES ?
I dont believe any testing anymore.
These people are fine, wear a mask and social distance, that stops everything right? Whether or not someone has it. Thats what the experts say so full steam ahead
My 40 year old daughter and her husband both got it. They had symptoms and everything. Minor symptoms. Then they were over it about a week later. It was literally less impactive than getting the flu - or even a bad cold. They did lose their sense of taste for a few days...
The timing is very suspect. Since January and all his meetings, travels, rallies, all over and he gets COVID positive two days after a debate with Biden?

Those repubs who have the virus should attend in a complete hazmat outfit...and vote! ASAP, Mitch.
BS. Just suit them up and wheel them into the Senate to vote.
they remove their masks to eat and to speak.
This is CNN.
One of my best friends has her daughter and grandchildren living with her. The daughter is a corrections officer and got it at work. Light symptoms. Then the kids one by one tested positive. The 5 yr old girl, just a slight fever. The 5 and 10 yr old boys, no symptoms whatsoever. My friend who watches the kids while the daughter works has tested negative 4 times now.
