The Americans who have already voted for Joe Biden are twice as likely as President Trumps backers to say their vote was more about the rival candidate, showing that negative partisanship is helping fuel the Democratic nominees early support.
According to Morning Consults exit polling, 44 percent of Biden voters described their vote as more against the Republican president than for the Democratic nominee, while 22 percent of Trump voters said they were mostly voting against Biden. Three in 4 Trump voters said they were voting mostly for the president, while 54 percent of Biden voters said the same of their candidate.

Many? HAHAHAHAHAhA!
How about, “virtually all”. What kind of nincompoop would vote FOR this candidate. Sheesh.
well DUH!! no one actually supports that old fool!
it’s practically elder abuse to have him run!
Not good enough to win elections!
Not good for Biden...

Yep
Casting a vote that will do nothing short of destroying yours and your family’s life out of hatred is pathetic.
Right, that doesn’t sound like a winning strategy
It makes you wonder what the popular vote numbers would be without fake news
Yup, just further proof they will lose. Supporting someone primarily out of opposition to their opponent instead of support for the candidate himself is a losing strategy. Look at Romney in 2012. Or Kerry in 2004.
GO TRUMP! WIN IT BIG! SEND A MANDATE! RED WAVE ROMP!
Yes, of course. The entire Democrat campaign is based solely on manufactured Trump hate.
Who the hell is going to get excited about voting for a corrupt, soulless, 50-year career politician suffering from early-stage Alzheimers?
***Biden voters described their vote as more against the Republican president ***
What we call “Yellow Dog Democrats.” They would rather vote for a democrat yellow dog than a good qualified Republican.
Ask McCain how well that works...
Exactly.
Almost nobody likes Biden.
Every vote for Biden is really a vote against Trump.
Trump hate is not enough, by itself!
The full blown haters are motivated. Everyone else is sitting at home playing their xbox or watching soaps saying to themselves there’s no way their going to get off their butt for Biden. He’s not worth it, and secretly they love hating Trump anyway.
For Republicans, this is not an either/or proposition of choosing between the lesser of two evils. Many elections are like that. However, in the case of Trump, I think most voting for him are doing so on a positive note for what they see as his accomplishments in office and are not in a lesser of two evils mindset. However in the case of Biden, the overwhelming majority voting for him have low expectations and see him as the lesser of two evils, i.e, he is not Trump.
This is not a vote for the Homecoming King. It needs to be for someone who has the experience, success and vision.
Not a recipe for high turnout. Not many will brave near-certain death in the COVID-19 Maelstrom just to vote against someone, even the #badorangeman.
A Biden victory would in reality be a hate victory.
Yeah that is never good for a challenger.
You’ve got an incumbent who is above water on both overall approval and the “better off than four years ago” question. A campaign driven purely on hate for that candidate is not going to be enough.
And Biden simply gives you no positive reasons to vote for him.
I mean, in his defense, in his current state, how can he?
