How Mitt Romney could wind up running the United States 6 years 5/21/2018, 9:08:21 PM · by Trump20162020 · 68 replies The Brookings Institution ^ | 04-26-2018 | Elaine Kamarck If, as expected, Mitt Romney wins his race for a Senate seat from Utah he may become the most powerful man in the United States Senate. As many of us remember, Romney, former Governor of Massachusetts, ran for president in 2012 and lost to Barack Obama. It wasn’t one of those totally humiliating losses—the map did not turn blue—but we assumed Mitt Romney would fade into history. Well, maybe not. The seat will remain Republican-held for President Trump come January of 2019, but this one could very well turn out to be the swing vote in the Senate. If Democrats...

In 2016, this idiot ran as an independent in an attempt to undermine Trump. He siphoned off 21% of the vote in Utah, but had little success anywhere else.

Who do these idiots think will vote for them after they scorned the Tea Party and betrayed Trump? Democrat voters won’t. To them, the “racist” smear has stuck.

My first instinct...

Evan McMullin And Friends are getting Chinese money to disrupt and demoralize the Republican Party.

McMullin’s manifesto is a mountain of platitudes.

Everything he does or says is something that will harm the GOP or help the Democrats.

Mr. McMullin is free to "challenge" the GOP, and he will fail as miserably as he did the last time he tried it.

The self-delusion of people like him never fails to astound me. He only gets attention because the The New York Times wants/needs a "Republican" to be their tool to criticize the GOP. Otherwise, nobody would care about him.

McMuffin doesn’t seem to remember that he tried that and failed. Trump has been so popular because he represents and fights on behalf of the Republican base. RINOs like McMuffin only represent some of the donor elites and a tiny number of regular voters.
