Former U.S. Navy Lieutenant Commander Steven Rogers said on Thursday that an order by Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin for the military to stand down to address “extremism” is unprecedented, unnecessary, and a dangerous road that leads to “communist China.”
“This to me, dangerous, it looks like a political litmus test, and it’s a road that you would only find in communist China or in the former Soviet Union,” former Lieutenant Commander Rogers told NTD.
Austin ordered a DOD-wide stand down to address extremism in the ranks on Wednesday.
Rogers said that the United States military has been a role model in addressing discrimination, extremism, radicalism, which has made the U.S. military the greatest on the earth.
He expressed concern about whether conservatives would be singled out.
“I believe it’s the Defence Secretary under the Biden administration. Are they now going to purge conservatives? Are military members who have conservative views and values—are they the ones that are going to be targeted?” Rogers asked.
Pentagon Press Secretary John Kirby noted on Wednesday that some of the extremists who stormed the U.S. Capitol on Jan. 6 were active duty service members and others were military veterans.

This is a very dangerous and previously unheard of purging of conservatives from the ranks. How on earth could this remotely be legal?
The same way many federal statutes and programs are “legal”: the Left doesn’t give a poot or a pee about the Constitution and has not since before FDR slimed his way onto the stage. Even Wilson, a man who hated the Republic the Constitution describes, wasn’t an early “progressive”.
He is exactly correct. Liberals do not care about a fighting force that is capable of winning wars abroad. They want a Liberal military ideologically aligned with them and capable of putting down any resistance to them domestically.
This began under Obama. In his first term, he put out a questionnaire with a litany of questions among the senior ranks. A response was mandatory. Those who answered with Patriotism and Constitutional Fidelity were either passed over for promotion or asked to turn in their papers and retire.
Biden’s handlers are taking this to a whole new level. They are not wasting any time. They are on a full-court press across numerous aspects of their agenda. With no resistance whatsoever from the “republicans”.

Even if you wanted to be a white nationalist and be in the military, who the hell has time to go be a white nationalist? Who has time to be in an extremist group and serve in the military? My 6 years in the Navy resulted in me getting about 3 to 4 hours of sleep a night. There was too much work to do. So whatever these commanders seem to think about the voluminous number of white nationalists serving in the military, they show how much service they’ve really done. because if any of these assholes were worth 2 cents of their body weight in sea salt as members of the military, they would know that nobody has time for this crap. You’re too tired.

Kirby, if I recall correctly, was SecNav Mabus’ mouthpiece during the Obama regime. He was a squish back then and I never trusted him even with an apparent impressive navy career. There was something about him that said “Don’t trust the weaselly bastard”.
PS: When I was a newspaper reporter, I covered military affairs esp. pertaining to Vietnam so I was constantly over at the Pentagon getting materials from the DDI (Director of Defense Information) for the Vietnam War. I got to meet a lot of their combat-veteran spokespeople, and eventually Jerry Friedheim (a nice guy but somewhat useless, as I told Gen. Chappie James after a “Five O’clock Folly” press briefing. Chappie just smiled at my example of a “nothing reply” from Friedheim on my serious question to him. We both walked down the hall of the Pentagon laughing).
Most DOD and other govt spokesmen/women are useless.
If you could snap your fingers and remove all of the conservatives from the ranks at once, there would not be enough military to drive Antifa out of DC.

Buttguy did not even do that. He sat in front of a computer wrote reports that were edit by senior enlisted and then edited again by multiple senior officers. He was a freaking low level Intel Analysis from the Navy Reserve EUCOM JAC Molesworth Unit out to Fort Sheridan Illinois. He is no war fighter. I doubt he was trusted to even get the coffee.
