I just got my first shot...Moderna...about a week ago.No serious problems...some arm soreness for a day or two just like with the regular flu shot.

The purpose of the “Bring Out Your Dead” ping list (formerly the “Ebola” ping list) is very early warning of emerging pandemics, as such it has a high false positive rate.
The false positive rate was 100%.
At some point we may well have a high mortality pandemic, and likely as not the “Bring Out Your Dead” threads will miss the beginning entirely.
*sigh* Such is life, and death...
Quarantine the sick. Protect the vulnerable. Free everyone else.

I get welts like that when I get stung. It's no fun and they last for days. Plus there are other allergic reactions along with that. It's not just a welt.
These reactions should not discourage patients from getting the vaccine, say researchers at Massachusetts General Hospital.
Guess again.
How long before people who have reactions like that end up with anaphylaxis with their next shot, or the one after that?

Daughter got it yesterday. She said she feels like she has the flu today and the injection site looks like a bee sting.
Another daughter got the other one and felt fine - just a touch sore at the injection site.

I took the Modera first shot and it went fine hardly felt it. Arm a little sore but not bad at all. Was dreading the second shot after I read of people getting sick 100 to 101 fever and a lot of acks and pains for 24 hours. I got the second shot and like the first didn’t feel it and only a little soreness at the shot location. For me it wasn’t near as bad. I think for some not so good.

Now, is there a tutorial wrapped inside that lipid packet?

I actually got what appears to be the same rash from my 2nd Pfizer shot on the 2nd day.
It itched like heck, and my Rn Wife put Cortisone 10 with Aloe over the red stuff and 3 days later it was over.
It never hurt just swelled up, turned red and itched like he**!
According to a nurse friend at the PPO, “Good now you had a good reaction to your shot!”
My wife just wanted to sleep all day between treating my arm. I just wanted to scratch the shot area.

I’m among the MANY MILLIONS OF AMERICANS who have received the Moderna vaccine with the only side effect a mildly sore arm for several days. My wife and I have both received the first dose and are scheduled to receive the second dose next week.

In little, tiny, hardly-readable print at the bottom of the warning label it says, “A few people will develop a rash at the injection site. A very small percent of those so afflicted will go on to transform into Red Skull.”

My doc was worried about potential allergic reactions in me so she had me take H1 and H2 antihistamines the day before, the day of, ad the day after the shot. It all was trouble-free.
