President Joe Biden gave his first primetime address to the nation on Thursday night, in which he said that “if we do our part,” then “there’s a good chance” Americans will be able to have “small” events by Independence Day.
“This doesn’t mean large events with lots of people together,” Biden said.

Even with a dem governor I still get to go see a local band tomorrow night that I really like at a local tavern that I really like. That being said who the hell was the resident talking at and to last night?

Our overlords have deigns to allow us the privilege of a small gathering to celebrate our freedom.
I would ask if they saw the hypocrisy of that, but clearly not.
Private Fourth of July fireworks celebrations took place every night late at night for hours in NY/NJ metro area last year. At least one large Jersey Shore town was the host of a continuous bombardment explosion all night long on the night of July 4th, courtesy of “freelance” pyrotechnic enthusiasts, shall we say. One wonders whether the same, a greater bombardment, or lesser will happen throughout the NY/NJ/CT tri-state region this year. Local police and the force of law generally certainly had no influence over the behavior of whatever individuals were behind these seemingly hundreds of thousands of impromptu fireworks displays last year. Wonders whether the same individuals might be even more motivated to do the same thing this year or even “up their game” based on Biden’s veiled threat. We’re they to do so it would certainly be blamed on BOMOTUS.
The reason there are so many fireworks in NY is that they sell them for months in these pop up tents which are on every single block, hundreds and hundreds of them.
To be clear, the “private” fireworks displays went on for months prior to July 4th, and for some time after, starting at about 11pm and extending until 2am most nights in large population centers. Local police HATED having to appear as if they were serious about trying to get things under control. They weren’t serious, of course, because the task was Sysyphian, and they and everyone else knew it.
Let’s all be grateful for the mercy of our Dear Leader! Thank you, Slow Joe!
