Seven seat majority in the House with six vacancies.
And a 50-50 Senate.
Democrats hold power by a mere thread.

I wonder how much time FL can take before it schedules a special election. It would be nice if they can push it back to the fall. It’s not a lot, but every little bit would help right now.

BTW, I thought when you were impeached and convicted, you were forever barred from holding any office of the United States (which of course is why they so desperately wanted Trump impeached post-tenure)?
Shouldn’t the House refused to seat him? Or, did he resign from the bench before he could actually be convicted in the Senate?

Alcee Hastings is the ultimat3e example of DOUBLE STANDARDS.
He was IMPEACHED and REMOVED for corruption and bribery as a judge, YET, he was allowed to run and become a Congressman.
Yet, they wanted to impeach and declare Trump guilty even AFTER he already left so that he would not be eligible to run again.

We need to cut that thread.

By the way, wasn’t he IMPEACHED and removed from the judiciary?

That Alcee Hastings was even elected to the House says a lot about the low-lives in the Florida district who elected him. Hastings was impeached (by a Demonicrat-controlled House), convicted by the Senate, and removed as a U.S. District judge for corruption.

I could have missed something but two of these vacant districts are solid GOP (or did I miss a special election?)
Two are solid DemoKKKrat. Are the remaining two truly open?
Another reason why not caving on the Miller Meeks seat was so important.
