Israel COVID-19 study finds South Africa variant able to 'break through' Pfizer vaccine

A new study from Israel indicates the South Africa variant of the coronavirus can "break through" the Pfizer/BioNTech vaccine to some degree.

A team from Tel Aviv University and Clalit Health Services found that the prevalence of the South Africa variant among patients who received both doses of the vaccine was around eight times higher than those unvaccinated – 5.4% versus 0.7%.

The study compared over 400 people who received at least one shot of the vaccine and contracted the coronavirus with the same number who were infected and unvaccinated.

"We found a disproportionately higher rate of the South African variant among people vaccinated with a second dose, compared to the unvaccinated group," said Tel Aviv University’s Adi Stern. "This means that the South African variant is able, to some extent, to break through the vaccine’s protection."

The study, published Saturday, still requires peer review to verify the results, according to Reuters.

"It is the first in the world to be based on real-world data, showing that the vaccine is less effective against the South Africa variant, compared to both the original virus and the British variant," said Professor Ran Balicer, director of research at Clalit.

Balicer noted that the results indicate a need for continued health policy, including social distancing and wearing masks in indoor spaces.

So you are more likely to get the South African variant if you got the shot than if you didn’t at all. Hmmm....

We all should mask up and social distance for two weeks and it will flatten the curb of the variant. Or maybe......

Or just have the disease and likely never have to worry again.

Not my original strategy, but now my reality.

Wasn’t a big deal.

So how come we cannot have a Chinese Virus but we can have a South African Variant?

Could be. Facts starting to stream out, one piece at a time, corrupted MSM and internet squashing all negative vaccine news, evil. So much unknowns with an experimental shot....for example, the Army released statistics showing if a person had the flu shot, they are 60 percent MORE likely to catch Covid.....haste ( in development) makes waste....and my favorite, this relentless campaign to vaccinate reminds me of Pandora’s box...or can we call it Pandora’s casket? Recall Pandora’s gift of a box turned out to be a curse....

With the "variants" popping up almost every month and all the side affects, I'm now thinking what's the point of a jab? It's become increasingly obvious that this virus mutates very quickly.

I'll probably still get a flu shot because I haven't had that virus since I started getting them some years back. Yes, I know it mutates also. However, they seem to guess correctly most years.

Yearly vax coming. That’s WHY they are setting up “Vaccine Passports” and not talking about it.

Do NOT follow man’s corrupted, flawed ways, follow the spirit that God gave you. If you don’t have it, get it - it is God’s free gift.

I have, yet another, dumb question: Isn’t this to be expected, that the use of “vaccines” to change the bodies response to the virus will cause the virus to mutate into such a form that it circumvents the “vaccine’s” mechanism?

Depending how old you are (older is more vulnerable), you may want to read this...

I don’t think people understand what mutation is.

1) The virus is not alive. Mutation is not a process of life.

2) Mutation is a corruption of the RNA segment of the virus. Some viruses have very stable, easy to copy segments. Others are unstable and replication introduces “errors”.

3) When a virus invades a cell, the cell’s function changes to whatever it was before to one of replicating the virus. The replication step is where the stable or non stable RNA issue arises. If unstable, “errors” occur and the produced virus will not be the same as the invading virus.

4) The unstable RNA replication creates a virus that is a mutation. It then bursts out of the cell and, in the lungs, floats around in the air inside the lung until it bumps into another new cell to invade. Note it does not “go looking for a new cell” and it does not “grab a new cell”. It’s not alive. It just floats around and bumps into things.

5) Smallpox was a very stable RNA sequence. Replication was always the same. Few or no mutations. That’s why it was defeated by vaccine.

6) Not so corona.

So, let’s continue the push for experimental vaccines. Not only can’t they say these vaccines don’t pose a risk of future adverse reactions but now they’re saying the vaccines may not work. Great, in addition to running the statistically mild risk of contracting COVID19 now you have to run unkown risks from a useless vaccine. Yeah, that’s a smart decision.

This 2012 study shows that this is a known “feature” of Coronavirus vaccines, not a “break through”...

Mutations are always detrimental. Never beneficial to the virus

The virus is not alive. There is no beneficial or detrimental. A change to the RNA defines a new virus. We are calling it a mutation and a variant, but that’s for ease of phrasing.

Truth is, it’s a new virus.
