BALTIMORE (WBFF) - The relentless pace of shootings in the city outpacing last year's violence.
Murders are up 14% and non-fatal shootings up 8% according to the latest numbers from Baltimore police.
So what will it take to stop the violence?
This weekend was a Ceasefire Weekend in Baltimore City. Unfortunately it did not cease city violence.
This call for peace coming after an especially violent few days.
The latest numbers released by police are from last Saturday showing 100 murders this year and 196 non-fatal shootings.
Since last Saturday though, 10 more people have been killed in Baltimore.
110 people are dead just in the first five months of the year.

Baltimore is a ‘dark’ city...like Philadelphia and Detroit. They don’t change in their violence because that’s how their citizens live in their homes.

Baltimore has had exactly one Republican Mayor since 1931. He served two nonconsecutive terms, TWENTY years apart.
Baltimore has NEVER had a Republican City Council President, since its inception in 1923.
The last City Council MEMBER who was a Republican left office in 1942. (Baltimore has 14 City Council members.)
Given this exclusively Democrat city has faced absolutely no evil GOP opposition, the Democrats should have it as a bright shining example to hold up to the world, and show us all how amazing and wonderful things are with Democrat ideas and Democrat leadership.
In 2014, Baltimore was named the 3rd worst city on EARTH for rat infestations.

Now their already high violent crime rate is spiking, in the wake of race riots and Freddy Gray protests, and calls for defunding the police.
Who could have seen THAT coming??
Thankfully, the voters of Baltimore are not insane, and they know that if they just give the Democrats another 90 years or so of exclusive absolute power, improvements are SURE to come along!!!
Why can’t they just write more laws? That should end that crisis.
