MINNEAPOLIS (AP) - The Minnesota Supreme Court will hear oral arguments Wednesday in the case of Mohamed Noor, a former Minneapolis police officer who was convicted of third-degree murder in the shooting death of an Australian woman who had called 911 to report a possible sexual assault behind her home.
Noor’s attorneys argue that a divided Minnesota Court of Appeals failed to follow legal precedents defining third-degree murder when it affirmed Noor’s conviction. The high court’s decision has repercussions for another high profile police killing case, the death of George Floyd. Besides second-degree murder, former Minneapolis police Officer Derek Chauvin was also convicted in April of third-degree murder, as well as second-degree manslaughter.
If the high court void’s Noor’s third-degree murder conviction, it could still affirm his conviction for second-degree manslaughter, but it carries a recommended sentence of just 4 years under the state’s sentencing guidelines.

Dusting off the Justine Damond ping list...
Shakespeare, via Dick the Butcher, was spot on.
Keith Ellison bailing out his fellow muzzlime who killed an innocent white woman in cold blood. Maybe Ellison, a criminal in his own right, should join Noor. This is what MN gets for putting a gun in the hand of an ignorant savage just to be PC.
If only Derek Chauvin was a muzzie. He would not have gotten such a harsh and unreasonable sentence.
Noor should be set free, like all Minnesota blacks, he Dindu Nuffin.
Had it been a white cop shooting a black woman the gallows would have been built.
Ellison: moslem
Noor: moslem
Woman: infidel
Notice that Ellison only gets involved in prosecuting high profile cases when the defendant is white.
Just a personal observation.
Unless Ellison is defending Noor then this is out of his hands. The conviction was before he came in and the state supreme court doesn't answer to him.
Is there anyone left that thinks our “system of justice” is what it proclaims itself to be? It seems like it’s just an elaborate stage play marching to a political or ideological or financial agenda to me.
I think he may be talking with the defense team behind the scenes.
JMHO.
I think we can all see how this is going to turn out. They waited until the public forgot all about this murder, then acted. They never wanted the muzlim to be convicted, but were forced into it. First clue that this was an unfair trial, the penalty. 12.5 years. Way out of proportion to the crime. Should have been life + no parole.
Whites get stiffer sentences than America-hating non-Whites.
