Prime Minister Boris Johnson has compared himself and President Joe Biden to wartime leaders Sir Winston Churchill and Franklin Delano Roosevelt.
Speaking shortly after the 77th anniversary of the D-Day landings in Normandy, the commemoration of which was once again heavily disrupted by coronavirus restrictions, Prime Minister Johnson suggested that his meeting with the U.S. Democrat at the G7 summit in Cornwall is not unlike Churchill and Roosevelt meeting in 1941 to agree the Atlantic Charter.

Biden’s more like Clement Atlee, of which Churchill once quipped “remember this about Clement Atlee - there’s a lot less there than meets the eye.”

Maybe England can present a bust of Boris to Joe Biden this week.
That would be awkward since he’s returned the bust of Churchill that Obama also had rejected and that Donald Trump accepted.
I am more worried about President Biden at the airport, waving a piece of paper, having returned from Iran with “peace in our time”! Yes, he is that feckless!
Tell Boris and Joe that we need the likes of Ron and Maggie again.

I’m not sure which leader is more embarrassing at this point.

Is Boris referring to the meeting at Yalta in Feb 1945 when FDR was deathly ill and would die two months later?
If it is, then comparing Boris/Biden to Winston/FDR would be most appropriate.
