Michael Wasserman wants to let his freedom fly — but his town of Long Beach, LI, isn’t having it.
“I believe the city is trying to silence me because I’m pro-Trump,” he told The Post.
The 62-year-old entrepreneur has become known in the area for plastering his home — along with his Porsche and Jeep — with a rotating variety of political flags and stickers. Now he has filed a $25 million federal suit — against the City of Long Beach, the chief of police, the city manager and specific police officers — after officials forced him to remove the flags on his cars.
The town claims they are a violation of an ordinance stating that “[No] sign shall be erected, affixed or maintained within the perimeter of any … public street or public property.” Wasserman parks his car on a public street outside his home.
“They’re bending and massaging the ordinance to fit the crime,” Wasserman told The Post. “This is a blatant attempt to silence me.”
The town’s lawyer, Howard M. Miller, told The Post: “It’s not a political case. It’s not the contents of the message. it’s where he had it — it’s a public street.”
Wasserman — who said police have visited his home multiple times since March, giving reasons from neighbor complaints to violation of ordinances — believes he is targeted for being a conservative.
“[People] spit at me, drive by cursing me out,” he said of local residents. His Porsche, which is decorated with stickers — including one depicting Trump urinating on a CNN logo — is marred with scratches from people keying it.
But, he said, all the hate only strengthens his resolve.

All the “F” Biden stuff should not be allowed because Children should not be forcibly exposed to that kind of vulgar language. That never would have been allowed. Not even 50 years ago.
Most ‘children’ I’ve seen lately could put any Sailor I served with to shame. They’re more disgusting and vulgar than any adult.

Setting aside the vulgarity it’s a simple case:
“Have other views, such as BLM, rainbow displays been allowed?”
If so he, and his lawyers, are going to get a big payday.

Been there, done that!! It was last Fall when I was searching for a new home, pulled into the driveway of one home and saw next door had Biden bumper stickers on their cars. Backed out of the driveway and left. I don't want to live near the idiots.
Many of them remind me of the neighbor kids in “1984”.

“Wasserman wants to let his freedom fly.” I approve. The majority of Americans love America a lot. However, people who use F words and plaster their cars with bumper stickers have issues. FYI: one simple Trump flag and Trump bumper sticker is enough to upset the minority of anti-Americans.

I have to share that I had an unfair advantage my friend. I really should have also shared that as a prerequisite I would never live in the city in the first place, let alone in an HOA community. So the whole truth is I would live broke in a tent before I would ever live in the city again. :)
I also hate to see good, conservative people down in the slimy gutter with the foul-mouthed, uncouth, hating progressives.
