Team USA Olympian Gwen Berry says she is not anti-American and insists she should still compete in the Tokyo 2021 games after turning away from the American flag during the national anthem.
Speaking to the Black News Channel about the backlash the gesture received, Berry said Tuesday: 'I never said that I didn't want to go to the Olympic games, that's why I competed and got third and made the team.'
Berry, who is sponsored by the leftist defund-the-police advocate group Color of Change, added: 'I never said that I hated the country. I never said that. All I said was I respect my people enough to not stand for or acknowledge something that disrespects them. I love my people. Point blank, period.'

Whenever you hear a black person say “my people” (or similar) they’re self segregating and specifically mean “black people”. They do not identify as “American”. So “I love MY people” is racist, she’s saying she doesn’t love anyone that isn’t black.
She doesn’t represent this country, she is not honored to represent this country, she is using the opportunity to advance herself and her brainwashed thoughts while insulting the very flag that gives her the opportunity - to both compete and say her garbage.
You’re excusing her?

Oh hell no..
Maybe it’s time for a ‘black Olympics’...
I don’t want that witch representing the US... let her represent the ‘black community’...
Bounce her from the team, period.
Hey Gwen, it’s not about you. You stole the glory and Victory from the winner and 2nd place winner and made it about yourselves. Shame on you.
The Tokyo Games are not permitting any winner to protest on the podium.
I wonder if the other hammer throwers spoke to the White News Network.
:)
I respect my people
If a white person said that the media would demand she be dropped from the event.
BLM flag.
Exactly. "Slave" referred to conscripts or people pressured to serve. They were majority white.
