What a difference a month can make.
Pessimism surrounding the COVID-19 pandemic is surging along with cases of the Delta variant in the US — with only 40 percent of Americans now saying the country is on the right track, down from 89 percent in June, according to a Gallup poll.
About 45 percent of Americans said the situation was getting worse, not better, in late July — marking a drastic turnaround from the month before and a psychological return to last year and this past winter, when most US residents were not optimistic the country was overcoming the virus, the poll found.
The new survey, conducted from July 19 to July 26 among US adults, found that Americans felt they had much less reason to be hopeful since the Delta variant became the most dominant strain.

Many of the “ new” cases are fasle positives, or mild cases from shedding vaxxers.
The problem here is that while optimism is on the wane, there’s a lot of muddiness on where to place blame. It’s been very simple to point the finger at the unvaccinated, and the media applauds it. It’s a lot harder to exercise some critical thought to follow some dots to vaccine ineffectiveness, global power grabs, and other more nefarious possibilities. As long as they keep using the unvaccinated as a strawman, the powers that be are safe from scrutiny.
Also the distribution of Illegal Immigrants throughout the country doesn’t help.
Blame Biden. For everything, and blame liberals and Democrats by extension. Even if you (correctly) see this thing as a hoax, blame Biden. I don’t even blame the Chinese, I blame Biden. The world is falling apart, and it’s Biden’s fault. All of it.
Propaganda works. It’s no accident that, suddenly, “runny nose” was a symptom of the mythical “Delta variant” which, strangely enough, the CDC can’t seem to distinguish from the native COVID19. Or from the flu, for that matter.
Look at the curve of new cases in the UK if you want to see what the curve in the US will be. They are ahead of us. The caveat here is that they are not being invaded my millions through their southern border.
I’m seeing the impact in rural Missouri. Just as mask-wearers were becoming a distinct minority in stores, more people are starting to wear them again. A friend who works at Wal Mart says sales of masks were way down a month ago, but they are having to restock masks because demand is going back up. The fear porn is working again.
Good Lord. It is cases, not deaths or hospitalizations. And the government changed the parameters of the testing so there are more false positives. And what about when the same person tests positive twice—is that reported as two cases? Damn this thing.
More evidence of utter propaganda and the susceptibility of the sheeple.
Somewhat a demonstration of fear response, it is also a telling IQ test.
Cases are irrelevant.
Deaths have not surged.
“I will shut down the virus not the country”—Joe Biden
The hospital in my small town in NE Florida has seen a surge of covid patients. I have been hearing this for a few weeks from nurses working there.
Mission accomplished!
The fact is if you go to worldmeter and look at death and or case graphs in the context of the entire pandemic its easy to see these folks are gaslighting the crap out of america. This is nothing like what we had in Dec/Jan
“Can’t seem to distinguish.”? Please explain.
Is there a corresponding surge of illegal aliens fresh from crossing the southern border and shipped to FL?
I doubt it, this St John’s county is the richest county in Florida and the crime rate is low.
I wish YOU would shut down, Biden, instead of the country.
