A Florida hospital was forced to turn away a patient in need of cancer treatment due to the “tremendous” number of COVID-19 patients occupying beds, a doctor said.
Tampa Oncology and Proton Medical Director Dr. Nitesh Paryani said that the patient had sought to be transferred there, but for the first time, they couldn’t accommodate the request.
“We just didn’t have a bed. There was simply no room in the hospital to treat the patient,” Paryani told CNN.
Paryani, a radiation oncologist, said that the hospital’s resources have been strained by the latest surge of COVID-19 cases.
“What we are seeing is just a tremendous amount of patients coming in. The other day, our emergency room had a 12-hour wait,” Paryani said.

Self-inflicted because the medical community, other than a few (in relation to the whole) will NOT treat EARLY OUTPATIENT HOME-BASED which keeps the vast majority OUT of the hospitals.

There are entire hospital networks that won't reopen their COVID wards, hence the tents and parking decks being used for COVID treatments.
Once governors refused President Trump's offer of the Mercy Ships, Army field hospitals, and Samaritan's Purse hospitals, it was clear that the medical professionals knew the numbers.
Affirmative action MDs, which is all you are getting these days, are bureaucratic robots. They were selected to fit victim-group quotas and their willingness to do as they are told.

My wife and I survived this thing before it had a name, and I am certain it is because we didn’t go to doctors or take pharmaceuticals.
It was the worst flu we ever had in terms of crap in our lungs, and it took two months of coughing to get it out.
And that is the key.
Keep coughing until it’s gone.
You can’t cough when you are on a ventilator, and so the crap keeps building up in your lungs until you are a death statistic.

This sounds like bullshit to me. The hospitals aren’t overflowing with Covid patients, and they never have been. People were being told that hospitals were packed with Covid last year - but they were empty
And to think, these hospitals had 18 months to scale up operations and failed to do so. Did they believe the “science” that said that the jab would prevent another spike? Or did they fire all of their staff that wouldn’t take the jab?
I heard from 2 friends on the same day last week-
Friend #1- liberal- “I spoke to a friend of mine who is a nurse here and she said 100% of all people with covid at the hospital are UNVACCINATED.
Friend #2- very Conservative- I had lunch with a friend of mine who is a nurse and she said about 75% of the covid patients at the hospital are illegals.
And yet we continue to import more cases over our non-existent borders.

My GF is an RN and that 12 HOUR wait is NORMAL at LA county and city hospitals PRE COVID. It gets far worse on Mondays.
pretty much. What they fail to say is why the patient needed to be in the hospital. Cancer isn’t necessarily a reason to be there. My dad has had cancer three times and when he ends up hospitalized its for things like pneumonia or diverticulitis, which are caused (or are pre-existing and exacerbated) by the cancer treatments.
The portrayal laid out by this article is disingenuous at best.
Hospitals are still getting paid to treat COVID patients, to the tune of 10 BILLION dollars, spread out over 1,000 hospitals. I’m guessing this hospital has their head in the feed trough...
