A Washington County, TN grand jury will not send a case to court that accused Jared Benjamin Lafer, 27, of the Bakersville Township in Mitchell County, NC, of striking a Black Lives Matter protester in Johnson City with his car in September 2020.

Lafer’s attorney, Mac Meade, of Johnson City said he was pleased with the outcome of the court proceeding on Monday, September 27, and he offered comments to the High Country Press about the dismissal: “We always had great confidence that once we had a trial on the matter, that the jury would return a, ‘not guilty,’ for Mr. Lafer in his situation.

A previous court session in Washington County revealed the protester, Johnathon Bowers, had sustained two broken legs, a concussion and a brain bleed from the hit-and-run.

Bowers said Lafer kept going and the vehicle “sucked” him under the tires. Bowers maintained that he was at the protest to walk his dog and take photographs. But Meade, indicated then that Bowers’ comments concerning his involvement with the protest have not been consistent.

Meade contends that his client feared for his safety and the safety of his family which included three children under the age of six who were in his vehicle at the time of the protest.

So a BLM thug lied. When will he be prosecuted for perjury?

Never. That’s when.

I spent a summer in the mid 80s just 10 miles east of Johnson City in Elizabethton selling encyclopedias and bibles door to door.

It was an interesting summer to say the least. I really liked the people and I loved the Smokey Mountains.

When do they blame Biden and riot some more?

They would if Trump was in the White House.

Let’s understand the context of these terms:

“Protest” means violent riots, with threatening actors.

He’s blick, man, there is a separate legal standard for the blicks. A jury in East Tennessee is more often than not a bunch of straight shooting Americans, of any color or origins. I live here. I’ve been called for jury duty ...

It’s good to know that juries are catching on to this tactic of blocking streets and forcing unsuspecting drivers to either run someone over or be attacked by a mob.

Excellent. Needed to hear some good news.

Unfortunately we have people holding office who are even more dangerous than these roving mobs, and they deserve MUCH worse than the guy who got run over.
