The leader of Australia's most populous state resigned Friday amid a corruption investigation, leaving Sydneysiders -- deep in months of lockdown -- without a political leader.
New South Wales Premier Gladys Berejiklian said she would leave parliament after an anti-corruption body announced an inquiry into allegations against her.

That simply is not true. New Zealand’s Prime Minister is very far left and the darling of the liberals around the world and far more repressive. From what we read and see on TV about the USA, it is becoming far more like New Zealand than Australia. For moment, at least, we have a conservative Federal Government and only Victoria is about as leftist as California, New York, and many more far left states in the USA. I don’t understand why Americans are throwing stones at Australia when you have people like Biden, Harris, Kerry, terrible leftist military leaders, all the progressive left people in Congress that are running your country. And you are becoming even more of a police-state with the FBI raiding people’s home just for trespassing and holding them in jails.
A good way to tell if a leader is a FASCIST, as opposed to possibly good-intentioned is to see how they treat outdoor activity, which is proven to NOT transmit the virus (except, possibly, in crowds and/or constricted spaces).
She clearly FAILS. No reason to limit people to 1 hour out of their homes, if not in groups, and NO REASON to require masks outdoors. Yet that’s what this bitch was doing.

Granted I was being a bit facetious, but that being said.......You have allowed the govt. to take your guns from you, you have allowed the govt. to lock your entire country down with only a minimal amount of Covid cases and you have allowed the govt. to beat you in the streets for peacefully protesting their actions.
If you consider that is conservative I would certainly hate to see what you would consider liberal.
As I have repeatedly posted, since they placed the restrictions on guns, there are actually more guns in the hands of of people (legally) and the average gun owner has more guns than before in Australia. So it is a bit of myth that Australia has taken the guns out of the hands of people. I can list ten’s of items where the USA is more out of control and further left than Australia. And there have been far more beating of American protesters than there have been of Australians.
Also, those “beatings” you read about Australia, are the individual state police, not the federal forces like you have the FBI raiding and Federal police beating people in the USA’s capital. And, to my knowledge we do not have any military people in solidarity confinement in Australia because they criticized their government, nor people confined in jail for walking on parliament grounds while protesting the government. The USA’s FBI is becoming like the police states in the old Soviet Bloc.
I am just speechless in the stupidity of most people especially in “democratic” countries.

Frankly, I have a very hard time believing that is true.
Any military person can be “confined” for breaking military protocol if it is potentially a court martial offense. Been that way since the beginning of our country.

I have not read about but rather have “seen” the beatings in your streets and regardless of which police forces our responsible......You do NOT see this going on in this country to any significant degree.

Hyperbolic and inaccurate statement but FISA and Patriot Act have given the FBI/NSA/CIA more authority than they should have and need to be reigned in.
